So a 95% IV first evolution can evolve to a 80% IV due to its weak attacks? What's the ideal level to start using stardust?

 

Lvl 25-30 because you can max a pokemon at 30 then. IV may change to a lower or higher IV

What is the significance of the line in the dots at the top?

 

Each dot is a pokemon, the line is the halfway mark. the crown is the top pokie

 

I knew the dots and crown. The line has seemed to shift though. Yesterday when it was a level 9 gym the line was after the 7th dot, not the middle

 

This line is a grouping line to show sets of 5. It is to make it easier to count the number of pokemon in a gym, because counting lots of little dots can be difficult on tiny screens in the glaring sun. If you see a bar, you know there are five pokemon to the left of it, so you only have to count the number of bars and the dots to the right.

Number of pokemon in gym = (number of bars * 5) + dots/crown to the right of the last bar.
