Magnaflow cat and cat-back exhaust, AFE Stage 2 cold-air intake system, 2.5" lift via Skyjacker leaf packs, Bilstein 5100s.
If you lift your truck, it will crack. Lifted mine 2.5" and that was the first thing that happened. Getting out of the truck the side of the seat crushes and the trim interferes and breaks.:(

The official price for part number 71812-04010-B2 is $72.05 + tax, and this was quoted from two different local dealerships in my area. I think I am going to try and repair mine with some epoxy, sandpaper, and interior textured paint. I won't pay that for a piece of plastic for a seat.

I don't think I can repair mine. The little hook piece that goes into the slot in the frame broke off. But I definitely don't care $75 worth. With the truck lifted 3" it's just going to break again.

Well now I know the world is ending. Duct tape couldn't fix it. Probably the first time I have ever heard that.

Mine's not broke, the lift thing probably explains it. I actually go down into my truck instead of climbing in  Hoping to change that sometime

I was hoping by now there would be a good aftermarket part available.
My 2004 non lifted old man coddled 'taco' still has the damn piece-o-crap trim sticking me in the butt every time I get out. Nothing worked, from duct tape to aircraft aluminum and epoxy patch.
I met one guy on the road and we exchanged gripes and he had the same problem, except his snagged his Glock and dropped it on the pavement! Looked here hoping for an update but no luck.
Oh well, 12 years and thats the only problem?

I got mine from Sparks Toyota, I think it was $86 w/ shipping. Not cheap but the rest of the interior is in such good shape, it looked like hell with that one piece of trim falling off.

I wish there was an aftermarket solution to this. If it breaks and falls off, the seatbelt rubs up against sharp components now exposed, and frays the seatbelt. I was going to rock it without the trim piece, but after seeing it what it did to my seatbelt and being concerned about potential safety issues, I bit the bullet and bought another one from the stealer.

I just bought some Limited seats for my DLX but the gentleman wants this piece and I'm very picky with my truck so I'll be buying one. Mine has the knob. I suppose the knob is to raise or lower the seat?

I've seen parts like this on the 1st gen buy/sell marketplace forum. Ya might check there. Although the other day I bought the seat mounting cap. That plastic cover that goes over the back of the seat track where the nut mounts it to the floorboard. Instead of getting a used one that will probably break a tab like mine did, I bought a brand new one and it was $7.46 from the local stealership.

on the Limited seats I believe the knob is the lumbar (back) support adjust. either seat didn't really have a raise/lower function

There is a button on the side, same level as the lumbar. Not sure what it's for. Thought it was for the lumbar? (stole this pic from a guy who is parting out his Taco and selling the seats.)
