No, pie, not cake. Cake is what Consumer Reports likes.

I do check their reliability ratings..which is why I steered clear of the GM twins and bought the Taco. That black dot is just not acceptable. Had an FJ Cruiser for 6 years. Both the wife and I loved it and CR hated it. Sold it for almost what I paid, too. CR did show them as reliable.

Now, if a vehicle at least shows with a clear dot for reliability, I will include it in my shopping.

I not only drive one, I own one. And you will not find a single post that I have made here that downgrades the vehicle. However, whether I drive one or not, is completely immaterial to my posting of a rating report by Consumer Reports.

Hard to understand CR's reliability ratings. Overall black dot for twins reliability, then you dig down into the ratings and ask WTF? CR is one of the last resources I'd go to for car/truck reviews...

They liked the soccer mom truck, bottom line.
They said it drove like a more civilized truck, whatever the F that means.
    They liked the stereo also.
    Great review, LOL big time.
Go buy one, sounds like your style. I'm sure you can get your soccer balls in the back too.

CR admitted they had a problem calculating quality ratings on vehicles, if someone complained they could not figure out how the radio works they were deducting points as if it were equal to an Engine Failure, not sure if they have corrected how they do calculations today.

365 days of data. Great statistical review.

Wow. Slow down snowflake. Why so easily offended?

I only ask BECAUSE if you weren't at least an owner of one it would, my opinion, be a trolling thread started purely to bash.

So it's actually not "immaterial". Sorry if this was a safe space.

The only time fanboys would get hurt is If they had a problem, which ain't the case. YOU may have a problem, but I don't think butthurt can help you, but dr. Phill can :D

    Hope that helps

You trolling bro? When did I talk about the Ridgeline? I think you should read the post I made (and you responded to) again. If you still don't understand it then I suggest finishing off your high school diploma before posting back here.

"Not sure if it's the same people but some guys on these forums point to Consumer Reports when they say Toyota has great reliability but balk at Consumer Reports when they rate the 2016 Tacoma with a 54/100."

Understand it quite well. Quite sarcastic try at best. IQ challenge anytime.
I don't resort to grammar school insulting either.
Ridgeline sounded like it was the truck for you being taco wasn't. If not which one ????

Some people are just better on ignore. I couldn't deal with Hammer and 2016Tacoman any longer. They just say stuff that makes no sense and are constantly talking out of their ass. Highly irritating and like arguing with a brick wall.

I've noticed. All I said was I'll wait for some issues to buff out before buying one. Thought I had personally attack people.

If it was a positive review all we would see in this thread is people saying how CR got it right and had an accurate review, they ignored the whiners of this forum, yadda yadda.

Eh, some ppl can’t deal with the fact they’re the only ones having issues and hearing voices in their heads and are easily bothered when confronted with the facts.
Sleep well my friend, I know I did!

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!
