I wish these trucks had the little vent under the steering wheel that blows ice cold air on the crotch like in my 02 runner. That's really the only thing holding me back from a purchase. That's one of my favorite things about that truck.

My '13 DCLB SR-5 got totalled (not my fault) and I was pretty ho-hum about the '16 to replace it, other than being pretty happy with the Inferno color and the fact that I could finally get a DCLB OR..........
But I swear when I picked it up and discovered the tailgate assist and the heated side mirrors, my brain actually made a "SQUEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!" Noise.

I would have traded in my '13 just for that if I'd known.

10 cup holders.. Like cmon that's got to be at the top of the "convenience" class.
Jbl, head unit, tranny tsb update, vehicle obstacle sensing, smoothness, appearance. I'm one of those who had ZERO issues I could go on and on!
    Love it.

Nothing fancy, yet. Weathertech mats front/back + their mud guards, some reflective striping and custom carpets on the storage bin lids underneath the jump seats.
While I couldn't afford the tech package, I've only had to tighten the U bolts and add 3/4 qt. of ATF. Other than that, my Texas made SR5s been a sweetheart. I installed some relatively inexpensive Nakamichi speakers and bought Weathertech mats & mud guards and I'm set. I might pony up for some KC LED driving lights and a N-Fab light bar eventually, though.

    1) Super easy to clean. The wheel wells have liners in them and the wheels are the easiest to clean of any truck I've ever had.
    2) 6 Speed Manual Transmission
    3) Firm seat bolsters. Hold you in place really well.
    4) GPS that allows you to leave tracks. Super functional offroad.
    5) GPS view that shows street name that you're travelling on and speed limit.
    6) Wireless Charger
    7) Quiet, rattle-free ride
    8) OEM roof racks that stow away when not in use
    9) Great A/C

Glad I found this old thread. I was starting to question my decision to buy this truck...! Then I read every word of every post here and feel much better. Yeah, I'm easily influenced I guess.

That's weird because I have never ever seen the words 'Nakamichi' and 'Inexpensive' in the same sentence before.

Coming out of a 1996 paid for Chevrolet into a 16 DCSB MT and I like it more every time I drive it. Almost the same size as my old truck with a higher tow rating.

    While in GPS screen.
    1). Go to options
    2) Map Information
    3) Route trace

I use this every time I'm Offroad. Makes it easy to find my way home, especially after I've lost my light.

Not that I've figured out, but it does save on the head unit unless it reboots. I think that the GPS is pretty 4x4 friendly in general. I've noticed that it has a lot more gravel roads than google maps.

I was going to call BS on this and then I counted them up. Good heavens.

I keep the bottle holders in the doors stocked with 20oz water bottles and then use the rest as needed. I do need to come up with something to prevent the bottles from rattling when I'm off-road.

There is alot i really like about this truck but one of the first things I noticed was the headliner, as in I have the black interor and the headliner is black too. I think most every vehicle i have owned that has black interior the headliner was still light gray. Its the little things that excite me.

I keep regular water bottles in the 8 door cup holders for people who need them. I usually have 2 cases of water in the bed, anyway
