New England brothers and Sisters... I live on Cape Cod and I want to upgrade my stereo system with just a new headunit with navigation and a under the seat sub which I can get cheap online and I am looking for someone who knows how to do these things that would like some extra cash.... The install places around here at charginging 1700 + for just the basics I can get the stearingwheel control harness and trim section off line as well and any wiring you might need????

 

Too bad Alex moved, he would have been able to help out.

Uhh guys, is this normal? It seems that the ball joint is leaking grease???? Light racing UCA's from headstrong. Hasn't even been more than two weeks since install

 

Nope, certainly not upside down and these are 6112 and not 5100s. The spring seat has a groove for where the notch clip sits when positioned into place. On the top side of the spring seat it also has a lip which centers the coils so they sit nice and snug once seated. You almost can't flip these the wrong way, it just wouldn't make sense. Not to mention the instructions Bilstein provides in the box clearly indicates the correct way to install them.

 

We seen some lube come out the top a little, but there shouldn't be any on the bottom on the boot. Wipe the boot to see if there's a tear.
Did you happen to add more lube following installation? Could have been filled a little too much

 

Yaz, carefully clean the boot with a rag and look for a tear. If there aren't any tears in the rubber, my guess is that they are OK and the excess grease just oozed out.

 

I will check to see if there is a tear then report back. We were very maticulous during installation and following directions. I don't think we over filled. Thanks for the response
