I hunted in Mason County the first 23 years of my life. I miss it alot. My family had a ranch outside of Art, Tx. Not too many people have heard of Art, Tx.

went to my buddies house and shot this on his land. he is pissed cus he had been lookin for this one all season. 9pt with 16.5" spread. not bad for a SW Virginia buck. i like his face how its all gray. the taxidermist said it was probably 6 or 7 years old. also got 2 shots on two different does on the last night of late muzz but stupid me rested the rifle on a tree to climb over a fence and it fell right on the scope. missed both deer by a mile.

Zero!, I went hunting 0 times and bagged 0. I buy my meat at the store. Looks fun I guess, kinda unfair for the deer but who cares. I'd be impressed if you guys could kill them with your hands or with weapons you made by your self from nature. That in my opinion is real hunting, but who am I to tell. I've never been.

Congrats. Some of those bucks look huge!

My bad....I put a picture of my 08 deer up. It was an 8 pt.

These are the two bucks that I got this year - 2009 hunting season.
    10pt and a 6 pt.
Hunting in Mason county off of the Llano River.

Yes, I know where Art is...right outside of Mason.

    I've lost count....
Good for you....I haven't had to buy beef at the store in years since I started hunting. My family enjoys the health benefits of eating lean venison instead of extremely fatty (and often full of preservatives) beef from the store.

Of course- you buying meat at the store is also kinda unfair for the cow...but who cares :D

And I suppose you made the bolt gun that killed the beef you bought with your own hands and practiced with it for weeks on end to make sure you could make a quick and ethical kill.

Man those first 2 pics are some seriously tall-racked deer, I love the way a tall set of antlers looks, they seem to look huge from a distance too...

Good to see some decent VA bucks! Only took 2 for meat; 7 pt for management and a doe. Brother got a decent 9 pt behind my house, and I passed over 3 nice 6-8 pt in hopes of next year...see if I can post bro's pic taken in my yard, and the 7...
