Loving the topper. It looks great and keeps my gear dry. I got the fogs from https://www.theretrofitsource.com/

Like many other members here I am waiting on an OME 3" lift. I ordered mine with the 887 coils. UPS says a pair of Wheelers SuperBumps should be delivered here any minute as well. There have been a few changes since the last pic. I need to get an updated one posted soon.

Looking forward to more info and pics. We have the same model truck. How do you like your tires. Decent traction in mud/sand and wet pavement?

The tires are great on the road, wet or dry, but driving in loose sand on the beach is tricky. I can turn the wheel left and right almost 90 degrees and still drive straight for a couple of seconds. I'm starting to look at all-terrains again.

Are you airing down for sand? Lower pressures and a good contact patch are just as important as tread pattern when it comes to traction in loose sand (IMO YMMV ETC)

Not airing down because I have no on-board compressor and don't want to paid to air back up on the way home.

Test drive after removing the third leaf down on my Dakars. Not sure how this lowered the rear by almost two inches but at least the truck is level now.

Airing down would solve your problem. Not wanting to air down because you don't want to pay the nominal air pump fee sounds like a weak excuse to me. :)

I use to never air down on the beach but now I do Everytime. Not only does it make it easier to "float" on the sand, but you prevent your truck from digging massive ruts for the next truck. Not to mention less stress on your transmission.

The easy and cheap solution is just to buy a 120v air pump from Walmart and plug into into the bed when you want to use it. Cheap, effective, and will save you quarters and time when having to wait and pay to use the public air pump.

The cheap air pump might be a good solution. It's not just saving a dollar to air up as much as finding a station along this section of A1A that offers air. Thanks for the idea on the pump.

I can understand that. Luckily the two beach OSV accesses here both have air pumps and are both free to use. My only complaint is waiting in line to air up, then killing my knees while I inflate. I'll eventually install my own compressor.

I have one of these on the way to help all of the tourists who drive their 2WDs on our beaches. :annoyed::1up:
