The Kodiak Canvas tent is great. It is heavy duty, tent plus poles is 68 lbs. Ours is 10'x10', so plenty of room. Plenty of ventilation with huge windows on each side. I consider it a family tent and would never use it for myself alone. I have six other tents at my disposal and if I needed a tent for just myself, I would just use one of my backpacking ones.

Anyways, you could probably stand up in the Kodiak without your head touching, might be close though. No measurements I have.

Welcome. It's very luxurious to have so much space. We run a heater at night and live quite comfortable in it. We don't experience inclement weather very often, but have on occasion sheltered in and it's never a disappointment. You could easily setup table and chairs, and still have space for two adults to sleep, plus luggage, and stand up. :)

    So a little truck update.
    • I'm about 25% through the body bushing install project. Working on it as time allows.
    • I gave up trying to find a matching 4Runner Limited wheel for my spare, and ordered one from an auto parts part-out place.
    • I decided to go with the TC retain sway bar spindle gussets
    • I'll do the TC coil bucket gussets as well.
    • Ordered the ECGS diff bearing and tool. Hooray for pulling CV axle!
    • Going to put in some Bilstein 6112's in the front (Thanks to @JD'STaco )
    • Finally decided on a HC bumper, so that's in the pipeline as well.
    • And I have a Polyurethane center support bearing from IEDLS to be installed.
    • And still need to install front brake lines. They have been aging for over a year in my garage. :D
    • Install my refurb LCA's
    • And fix the god damned Moog BJ boot.

Getting close to finishing my build.

    Edit added IEDLS CSB

I forgot about the stainless braided front brake lines that have been aging to perfection for over a year in my garage. Got to make sure those get on the truck!

I'm sure there are a few other things. but mostly minor, I think lol

maybe some wheel bearings, exhaust reroute, skids, front bumper. yeah that's good.

Nah I think you and Scott are right. After build is done, it's about maintenance and fine tuning. Build story never ends until truck is sold, traded away, destroyed, etc.

While I was prepping for body bushings, I moved my kids car seats in the back of the truck. I made an interesting discovery, it appears that the steel d-ring diameter of the l-track fittings are identical or slightly larger than the safe-latch security system for car seats.

    Very secure.
I'm not advocating anybody do this for street travel, just wanted to show for academic purposes.

I also discovered that my passenger rear cab bolt was trying to self loosen. I blame Death Valley. :)

I am quite pleased with the overall construction and feel of the ES poly body bushings.

I will try. There is always that time when I'm doing nothing, you know between 12AM-6AM just laying there. :D
I have two midget mechanics. One day they can do the work, and I'll eat popcorn and supervise. :)

Thanks. I was not using my secret workaround. I've went back and fixed them.

When doing the ecgs bushing be careful with the toll. Both times we used it, the tool broke off a small piece of the needle bearing since it was physically too large to fit through the bearing cage. Just keep an eye out for shards/use a magnet

Damn that sucks. That four reports I've read now, about that happening. Thanks for the heads up.
