Really? Is that what I'm supposed to do? I absolutely NEED to drive the truck today and this weekend. Am I fucked?

 

Nope, it'll be fine in the interim. Just hit it with grease once a week or so

 

You are fine for now, just make sure you eventually replace the boot. We have SPCs boot replacement kit if interested, but before going this route contact SPC to see if your particular issue falls under warranty.

I do plan on contacting SPC. But for the record, the only off pavement driving I have done with these arms installed was a dirt road last weekend. This tear is new today. Thank you for your response and I hope I don't have to buy a replacement kit.

Yeah it was a very pleasant experience. But, for future reference, how can I prevent this?

Man, I went through the installation through my head 50 times. I even watched the alignment guy do the alignment start to finish. Knowing my luck, a small twig went up in there and pinched it

 

Sometimes, it's just plain ole dumb luck!

 

Yup. Like the time a pebble smaller than a penny got stuck in my rotor on a trail run and put everything to a halt for about a half hour. That's why my trucks name is Eleanor. Something always happens

Uggghhh, my son and his buddies are Pokémon hunting in a park right now. I'm sitting in my air-conditioned truck waiting for them to catch as many as they can in 45min.....and just realized I'm low on gas.

 

I bet you could leave for an hour and they wouldn't even notice.
