...^^^... Yep ... I think that might happen. The value may drop later, but there have been times in my life when I wanted something and I paid a higher price for it.
When you get the "buying bug", it is hard to fight it off and I have been guilty of that too.

You're not getting a Pro under MSRP unless you know someone or happen to have a good relationship with someone at the dealership. There simply is too much demand. If you want to pay at or near invoice look elsewhere.. Better yet just get an OR.

They will all sell without sitting for long, even the jack@ss dealers asking thousands over.

I paid MSRP $42,068 (M/T with bed lights) had $7k equity in my trade and financed $36k total after TT&T so I'm good with my deal. IMO I'm in an equity situation in my PRO right now and I bought it yesterday. Ha!

It's the people who are willing to pay 5k-10k just to say they bought one but will not take it out to go off roading. For me I'm taking it out to all the trails except the hard core. That's when my FJC comes in.

You're not going to find a Pro under MSRP right now. That's why I continue saying to be patient as part of my posts. You reference demand which I also mentioned so..... what exactly is it that you are trying to say? Picking apart individual parts of what I say while overlooking the entire point to suit your dreams isn't going to magically make you not lose thousands of dollars trying to buy a TRD Pro right now. Don't shoot the messenger.

You're right... they're ALL going to sell out and Toyota won't make any more of them so you better rush out and find a dealership that will allow you to secure one now for $10k over MSRP. lol

You conveniently leave key words out of my posts that don't fit your agenda. I even underlined two important words and if you can't see those underlined... I don't know how to help you. If you MUST have one of these TRD Pro trucks right now and you're paying $52k for the thing then you're who I'm talking to.

My process was the opposite and take my time to find a respectable dealership that would sell at MSRP. But to your point some folks will do as you suggest and rush out to pay the $2-5k over MSRP, I'm sure to them the markup doesn't impact there wallet nor do they plan to spend another $5+k in aftermarket swag also. The truck still has a 70+% residual so they'll be ok in 3-5yrs when they're ready get rid of it as this Pro's predecessors have.

I will never understand why you come off as such an "I'm right because I'm me, your wrong because you're you" kind of prick, but you seem incapable of having an opinion that doesn't paint yourself as a fucking genius or as everybody else being too dumb to understand you.

Your attitude towards your opinions being absolute universal facts, your truck, your guns, the pics of your wife.. nobody cares. Stop trying to be an alpha on an internet forum.

My initial post was simple: If people wouldn't pay absurd prices for these trucks dealers wouldn't be able to ask them because they wouldn't sell.

Your personal beef not withstanding it's simple economics. Not some 'my opinion is better than yours' as you see it. Hard to say it's opinion when basic economics support the opinion.

You're the only one that seems to have a problem with my truck, guns and wife that you feel a need to hold onto resentment for years so maybe it's YOU who needs to check the attitude and stop being a creepy stalker creep.

    That post wasn't the problem..

Absurdity is on you, nobody else. No reason to thump your chest and spew nonsense like "my posts don't fit your agenda" whenever someone disagrees with you. You're talking about a truck. Try to breathe every once in a while.

To further illustrate my point, this is from another thread with the same pissy, know it all posting tone..

My post didn't fit the agenda of trying to think that paying $52k for a Tacoma was somehow a wise investment. The idea is absurd. The same guy who things buying a TRD Pro today for $52k will be wondering why a dealer is telling he's $10k upside down when he decides he's bored with it.

Not arguing with your point, just pointing out your method of delivery is unfortunate.

Generally speaking, you don't talk about stuff you don't know, and the stuff you know you know super in-depth, certainly enough to be a voice worth listening to. You know your shit. But, you know you do, and your delivery is tough to read without having a negative opinion of you afterward and not giving a damn about the content.

Lot of good info to share, just don't share it well. Why? I dunno.. I assume you're the alpha type in your actual life, just consider letting it relax a little when you have good points to make. Otherwise nobody is going to listen. Certainly not when stupid things like supply and demand discussion becomes a dick measuring contest.

I made my point. I have nothing to add. People are welcome to do whatever they want with their money. They're cool trucks so regardless of what you pay, enjoy 'em!
