No they have not, I test drove and inspected a 2017. They are exactly the same under the hood, the driveline vibrates and the Lower Control Arms are not plugged (which was a TSB for 2016s to keep them from howling)

So it's essentially the same truck with just a power sliding rear window on some of the model/trims

One would think that the 2017 would have the TSB software update. I plan on test driving mine for about 25 miles and on various types of roads. What really scares me is the differential noise. I have a 06 sport and notice the front diff started making vibration sounds at 195,000 miles

To be honest I don't like the thought of it. There has to be some other solution I would think

    For me?

    Factory Painted New Hood, yes.

Third Party Body Shop "repairing" and repainting the Factory Hood, no.

But they don't paint trucks at the dealership they do paint them at the factory right?

They have a body shop at the dealership they paint them at. I worry about the blending job they will do. I want to ask Toyota if there is a different option.

Wonder if you can find the MSRP of the regular hood and the MSRP of the sport hood and pay the difference? ;)

My hood has the same broken adhesive joints. Which I have not taken in for service as of now. I did have my tailgate panel off to access the camera connector and noticed that the supports in the tailgate box are having the same broken loose adhesive joints as the hood. Probably the same material as the hood joints.

DO NOT HAVE YOUR HOOD REDUNE. THEY RUINED MY TRUCK. I WAS LEFT WITH BLOTCHES IN THE PAINT, COLORS DIDN'T MATCH, TAPE MARKS AND HAND PRINTS ON FENDER AND UNDER THE HOOD.

Dude I just found this out myself unfortunately. Wish I wouldn't have done it. Didn't really fix it.
