I still need to do hard mode raid lol. I've done multiple raids but I always stop at boss cause I'm lazy as fuck hahahahahahaha and I give the spot to my friends

 

Yea, just when you think you have it figured out you hit level 40 and finish all of the story and DLC. Then youve got to figure out how to get to 335 and do the really hard shit

Don't even worry about 335, new DLC will bring you up to 400 with hard mode raid. Just prepare for the next dlc.

 

Run POE you'll get 335 quick.

 

I had a friend run poe with me all week and he jumped to 335

If I would actually play the control points we might actually win I play control/clash which pretty much means I'm the dick that runs around killing instead of playing the objective. Yeah... I'm "that guy". But... still got 4195 points on my team.

 

FUCK!!!!!! One match short of the LH.

 

Made it to oryx in 2 hours but ran out if time. Spent another 3 hours with another random fireteam failing at Oryx.

What a pain.

 

I need more XB1 Destiny Strike team/fireteam friends. I'm at 40 light, 310 armor in a Hunter...

You want to get your faction (FWC or Dead orbit) and vanguard (hunter, warlock or titan) levels up because they are guaranteed to drop higher gear (as long as its equipped) when talking to them when they award you a level.

Challenge if elders is good for some drops especially if you do the weekly sigil and the effects are in your favor (precision kills)
Hitting buffs for 2 hours is always good and run in blocks of 3 to get extra buffs for CoE and PoE.
Also 3 of coins before named yellow bosses.

For me, dead orbit has been the best at dropping gear as well as CoE. CoE may be a bit much for you right now unless you have to higher levels to do the heavy lifting. Specifically the boss with the Psions that you need to take down in order before you can damage the big boss. Not to mention the pile of cabals with shields coming in hordes.

Running this at 4pm AZ time. We are at Oryx CP and need experienced runners and players to finish this. 3 hours of trying with 8 diferent people last night and it didnt work out. I know the role of being a titan in the middle killing ogres and support.

I have 1 more friend who is a Hunter with tether that usually holds a plate.

Sounds as if you have the fight down and know the mechanics. You just need a competent runner.

I'm not on XB1 so I can't help you but I'll give you the tips on how "we" do it.

I HIGHLY recommend having a Touch of Malice for this fight as it will make it so much easier. Not required but highly recommended.

The very first thing we do is assign the roles we are going to fulfill and who is running, taking a plate and number (I'll get to that in a sec), and who is staying center (one will have to be a Titan with Blessings of Light). When I say we assign numbers, who ever takes a plate is assigned a number (be it 1, 2, or 3). Those numbers never change once we assign them so #1 will always be where Oryx slams #2 second to jump up and #3 third. Doesn't matter where Oryx goes the numbers and people assigned to them move around the room to coincide with the counterclockwise movement of the jump sequence. This cuts down on any confusion of just assigning someone with one specific plate.

We make sure all of our supers are up. Start the fight and let a hunter stand in the middle of the "skyside" plates to draw the thralls in close. Once the thralls are in a bunch hunter fires off a tether and everyone takes down the thralls for orbs later on. Kill the knights on the skyside plates and get ready to start the fight.

Whoever runs for us (whether it be me or anyone else in our group) uses a exotic sword to quickly take down the vessel once the relic is grabbed and the aura is stolen. That is the most efficient way we have found to deal with the vessel.

Plate holders are responsible for their respective knights that spawns once the ogres are taken down. Make sure to have them call out if they need help. If they don't get them down then it is basically a wipe or you have to run another rotation. Plate holders also assist with the two in the middle at taking down the ogres.

Now this is where I "think" we do things a bit different than others. Once the relic is stolen and everyone runs to the middle one of the two that was taking down the ogres in the middle runs out and kills the 4th knight (preferably a Warlock with self revive). Stagger Oryx and kill anything shooting back at you but DO NOT kill the thralls!!!! Allow them to come into the bubble with everyone. Set your controller to "dance" until you see Oryx "regain the favor of darkness" and have the hunter throw a tether and destroy the thralls for orbs.

Kill the knights that spawn on the skyside pillars. Kill thralls before they enter the "thunderdome" and take down the shade. Rinse and repeat 3 more times.

On the last rotation one of the two members in the center is assigned bombs on #4. Only difference here is kill everything you see after staggering Oryx, run up to the bombs and stop. Have ONE person do a countdown to step into bombs. Step into bombs and wait until you see your name come up. Run back to center and wait until they go off. Oryx moves back to center and this is where you have to really pay attention. Every once in awhile he will come up and his chest will already be open so you have to be prepared for that possibility. Everyone snipes him and that's it. Fight over.

I posted this a few pages back but this is from my perspective during the fight. Now we just kind of fuck around in there since we've killed him over 100 times.
