    not bad, but no premium/elect pkg? i was trying to lock in the same with the premium/elect pkg at $37k. couldn't get it below 38.5k.

    so today i bought a '17 TRD Pro with bed lights and charging/connectivity for 42k, msrp, after turning down another dealer who wanted the same truck for $4k over msrp. so, i'm feeling the win today. :D

    No premium package. I was downsizing in trucks so really didn't was an almost $40k mid-size truck. TRD models come with everything I want and need. I really only wanted a TRD Off Road with towing but every truck here in TX has the other crap added on. I actually had another dealer refuse to match that offer on an identical truck so I'm pretty confident I got a really solid deal.

    I just put $1000 down on a 2017 MGM TRD OR 4v4 DC SB with Premium Tech JBL without a Tonneu. More amazing than the crap given by the dealers is the scarcity of this truck! I gave them the option of Black, Grey or Blue, and all they could find me were two black ones on a lot 6 hours away in Idaho, or the MGM Grey one, still not delivered, also going to Idaho. Sure, they had like 5 with a Tonney, but I don't want a cut bed and something I am replacing first off. I had three dealers trying to sell me this truck, one stopped responding when I asked for money off MSRP, one quoted "better than the Costco Price" by giving me $500 less than MSRP, and the last one quoted me $1000 off MSRP. After doing all the paperwork today a different dealer called me, and I told him I signed already at $1000 off MSRP and he was surprised anyone was willing to go below MSRP considering how rare the trucks are in my area. TrueCar says that the majority of people saved a whopping $100 off MSRP.

    Anyhow, aside from the story, here are my numbers:

    MSRP: 39629
    Premium Tech with JBL - 3035
    V6 TOW - 650
    All-Weather Floor Liners/Door Sill - 209
    Exhaust Tip (seriously, couldn't get one without this crap fee) - 90
    Total Optional Equipment - 3984
    Vehicle Base Model - 34705 (TRDOR4x4DCSB)
    Delivery Processing and handling - 940

    Paid for truck - 38629

    Also, I shopped around for financing, and the best my credit union was going to give me was 3.24% for 72 months. Toyota financing offered me 2.99%. When I tried to get my credit union to counter the best they could do was "matching 2.99" but no lower.

    Long story short, I might luck out and get my truck around Sept 15th, otherwise it could be as late as the 24th.
