While in the process of trying to get these old stock 08 rear shocks off i stripped the top that you hold while cranking the 14mm. it would not budge at all... any thoughts on this? am i screwed? I dont have a blow torch. heh. the other side is going the same way but not as bad as this side yet..

Better to ask what I have not done.
Are you going to keep those shocks or are they junk? I used vice grips on mine and it come off just fine. But plasma cutters are much more fun.

Damn really! Vice grips have to be really tight but normaly work. If you can come by we can lop them off with a power devise of your choosings

Probably didnt help that i didnt start using vice grips until it was almost to late. the other side may be savable with vice grips seeing as its not completely screwed just yet.

wouldnt be able to make it to littleton tonight, thank you for the offer.

Don't have one of those. I wonder if heating it up with a hand held torch and trying to cut with a receprecating metal blade would work.

Metal blade should do just fine. Put the vice grip on to hold if frommoving onyou and chop away. The heat unless you get it to actually change color will not do anything except make things like bushings and your bed smoke. And dulls the blade so just cut away.

Hahahha that is fine too. If you have a meta blade or two i think you should have no problem with it. But if you want to come over im pming you now.

Hahha sounds good. Also if you just try that blade and if you can lop off one you can put one on and still be able to move but if you can lop off both then you dont need to pack up just to drive down and restart.

Is there a hole on the other side? Have you tried banging on it from that side?

You set your self up on this one.
