Where/who are you getting your information from?

    Who's the suspensions expert?

The amount of poor information here is shocking.

No. It's just mind blowing how you go full retard in every post, while thinking you're super chill and everybody else is crazy and upset.

Nobody cares about this topic but you, and you are way too involved in what other people do with their shit.

Wow... this thread started low and is going down fast... I hope it's still around tonight and not locked up. This is going to be fun!

OP I think there's a shit storm of butt hurt coming your way just sayin. :crapstorm: :bananadead::eek:

On topic... WTF did the OP take ... maybe he forgot his meds this morning.

The first post said something about asking a "professional" about the 5100's - ummm @Headstrong suggests using this 5100s with EMU springs.. actually there are several TC World sponsors that suggest that combo... I'm not getting the point of this thread??

If you're changing the spring then it wouldn't really matter would it?

I have no concrete evidence on the mounting differences. Just something some guy said on here.

Isn't the 3rd Gen more heavy then the 2nd Gen? Thus, installing 2nd Gen suspension onto a 3rd Gen would probably cause it to respond differently and probably fatigue faster.

Hence the different spring rate between the two. I'm willing to bet the valving is likely a bit different too, but the mounting points/install should be interchangeable between the two. Running 5100's won't hurt your 3rd gen. The ride won't be as nice, but its not a digressive shock either and isn't meant to be the cat's meow, it was designed for a purpose. I'm sure you can run them at first clip and be fine.

Oh...kay.... "no concrete evidence" = "seat o pants". I like it.. as in "its a relief" since I've got a box of EMU springs mounted to Billie 5100s set to zero on the floor in my dinning room as I type.

I think we went thru this this thing back in Oct 2015 shortly after the 3rd gen Taco came out.... everyone waiting ... some said "cant wait, need to lift" ... and so it happened and eventually all the re-selllers for Billie struts/shocks tried it and boom.. it works.. I think the difference in weight from the 2nd gen to the 3rd gen was insignificant enough to call it ... done.

Use em and drive the truck. Eventually there will be a new set for the 3rd gens but that never happened to my knowledge and may never happen.

Don't forget the strut spacer for the "Taco Lean" on drivers side.

Homie invite .... we can party here?? Time for beer?

If I mount 5100's at .85, what's the biggest tire I can fit without rubbing??

The First post has the link to the toytec guy explain it all. I never said it doesn't work. But its not ideal.

It's fully explained why it's not ideal. He explains a lot of stuff in his post.

I'm glad it works for you.
