very nice! Do you plan to add some way to reinforce the metal under the battery holder? Ive heard from guys with two in stock spot that after some offloading they notice the metal will bend and what not? Is it just one long panel? Looking forward to seeing it all, your build is very clean so I have high hopes for this! I like idea of a bed mounted battery, seen some cool ideas and if I did I would have an additional fuse block behind seats so the wires don't go too far besides the terminals to connect batteries together via an additional alternator. Still working on it tho

Panel installed. Not wired yet because of this crazy heat this weekend. Also need to revise my mounting setup, the wind catches underneath it and makes it flap around on the rack.

    Thanks Mike.

So I got everything i need to wire up my batteries finally. Figuring out what terminals would work best with the amount of wires being connected was the challenge. Hopefully ill piece it together next week.

Also, back to the drawing board for the solar panel. The wind catches underneath it and no matter how snug I mount it down, it bows just enough in the center to flap up and down on the crossbar and make a heck of a ruckus while im driving. No doubt itll eventually damage the panel, so i need to find a way to bolt down or support it from the center. Updates to come

I also just realized that if i ever need to replace the bulb or ballast in my driver side projector, ill have to remove the entire battery setup to access it. I cant just remove the headlight either, because my bumper is a full 3 hoops and prevents me from getting the headlight off without removing the bumper. And thats nearly impossible because it has a winch, driving lights, and siren mounted inside and weighs almost 200 lbs total. Im screwed

Onboard pressurized water setup. This one plugs into quick disconnects retrofitted onto my Rotopax but can be unplugged and connected to any available water source including faucets, buckets, or free standing water. Provides 1.3 GPM @35 PSI. New model coming that provides upto 3.0 GPM @50 PSI. Can be used for camping dishes, showering, cleaning off after the beach, or anything else that you would need while out on adventures.

great truck. I recently picked up my first truck, a prerunner, and had no idea id like offroading so much. I've been out to big bear a few times on the fire roads and it's a blast. Haven't pushed my truck yet. How did you get over the 4x4 regret? If only I had known. But I got a killer deal on my truck and it has super low miles. It's a keeper. Just wondering how much to put into this 2wd bad boy.

When i bought it new in 09 i had no intention to ever hot dirt either. Then found TW and it went downhill from there. I paid it off in 2012 around when i started modding it and since it was paid off i couldnt justify trading in. Now its a full blown expo build and has taken me through 4x4 only trails and places where 4 wheel drive trucks have wheel slip. With the right suspension and plenty of clearance plus good tires and a little extra skinny pedal, it takes me everywhere i would need to go. Ive driven in snow with these tires with no issue but have nice chains just in case. I dont rock crawl or hit anything so technical that 4x4 is mandatory. Ive been through dozens of very deep and heavy water crossings with no issue. I avoid sand and mud because i know i dont belong there lol. But i dont regret not having 4x4 because it does everything i need it to do. A locker would be nice but for now i do plenty of overland trips and back country camping and never NEEDED 4x4. 2wd does more then most think. I get shit for it all the time but i really dont care because its really all about what you need. Enjoy your truck but just dont put yourself in situations that you know a 2wd shouldnt be in and you'll be fine
