Alright so here is my dilemma, I'm looking to upgrade my tires I've narrowed down my choices to the Cooper ST Maxx and the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. The size I'm going with is 285/70/17 I like both tires, I've done my research on the Cooper's and seen nothing but positives for it, the only thing is that size only comes in an E load and of course that comes with extra weight. The Grapplers on the other hand have a C load but there isn't that much info or reviews out on em yet. Give me some of your opinions especially if you have or know anyone that has the Grapplers. Thanks.

Thanks!! I've been strictly a TKO guy on tires, but as soon as Nitto released their beefed up all terrain I had to give them a try. I would recommend the Ridge Grappler to anyone great overall tire impressive dual side wall design and they come in a 6 or 10 ply.

Only reason I don't want the ko2s, everyone has those(for good reason) but I want my truck to be different especially since I'm getting the TRD pro 4runner rims.

I have the Cooper ST/MAXX and love them. Best tire I have ever used in the winter.

That's the biggest selling point for me the 6 ply, 10 is overkill IMO.

I had 2 sets of st maxx and loved them. Its too soon to have any real review of the nitto yet. But the trail and terra grapplers are both great tires and the ridge falls in between those

You guys are supposed to be making this decision easier. Maybe I'll get a set of each and just rotate through them every couple months

Do you plan to offroad much? If not, I'd lean towards the nitto for its closer tread and highway manners

She's my daily driver but I do take her out for some off road adventures and camping especially. I'm leaning towards the ST Maxx right now. I think this decision is gonna come down to coin flip, both these tires seem like solid options.

I sell tires and have had positive reviews from my distributor on the nittos. I love the brand , but as many know here the coopers have a very good rep on this tire and sizes that you are gonna with. Maybe go to tire shop that sells both, they may a 30 day guarantee that if you don't like , you can exchange
