Actually the installation instructions from Solo did say to grease the outside edge of the bushing that meets the truck and TC's instructions even say to " liberally " lube that outside surface too.

Yeah...I noticed a guy here on TW that lathed his own Delrin for a friggin fraction of the cost. I think the same dude recently learned how to TIG pretty damn good too...any ideas who that could be ?

Hmm well I didn't and mine don't squeak. The only thing that should move is the bushing around the sleeve not the bushing in the arm. Maybe I was told wrong?

Edit: this was before I got the DK LCA with delrin.

I've never heard to not grease the outer part of poly bushings

So... I've been searching for a good shop to deal with in upstate NY. Getting things ready to birth my taco into the LT world, but don't know of any decent shops up here to deal with that aren't 4-5 hours away. I am in the Watertown, NY area. Hoping someone might point me in the right direction.

DIY. Not going to be a lot of shops that know wtf they are doing anyways when it comes to LT.

Hey guys i need some input. Im redoing the front of my 4runner. Im running the total chaos gen 2 caddy kit. Im redoing the shock hoop and getting new coilovers. Is it worth it to step up from 8" coilovers to 10" for the dual rate? I havent bougjt the coilovers yet but the cost isnt much of a differece. Is it worth it?

Not really from what i understand unless you have a custom kit that pulls more travel. Otherwise just a lot of fab work for no travel gains.

X2 you won't gain really any more travel. You'll have a slight benefit with the dual rate. My buddy did it in his dirt king kit because he wanted an engine cage to firm up the frame and ditch the coil bucket. Also he didn't want to run a bypass at least yet. Hope that helps.

meh. on a 10" shock, it's not a 'true' dual rate. the secondary spring is so short its usually compressed at ride height so you're using the main spring always.

There's got to be some LT trucks on base that you can get some ideas from. still though, the sooner you become your own expert the better. Kit install is easy if you can go that route.
