I ended up with some trail damage today. Now I am weighing my options. Please post up pics of your aftermarket rear bumers.
I am wondering if instead of repainting the bed I can just get a high clearance bumper that cuts off the quarter panel where my paint is flaking off after the impact?

BFR (big fucking rock). Pulled off the trail a bit to look at some bucks. When I pulled back on a BFR was hiding in the sagebrush....:annoyed:

This is a great looking bumper. I like how it follows the lines. I would love this bumper and would love to give the fellow Nevadan the business, but the lead time will not work for me 4-6 Months. Pelfrey has a similar one with a 8 week lead time, although I like the lines better on the @RelentlessFab . Plus @Pelfreybilt does not offer a spare tire swing arm, which is nice since I always carry two spares. @CBI Offroad Fab has a nice looking one but I will need to call to see if it in fact cuts off this portion of the quarter panel as their site has no pics of the third gen with it mounted. Decisions... decisions.

One of the great things about living in the middle of nowhere Nevada is that my insurance company has no adjusters here. So, once I get the quote from a reputable body shop to fix, they will simply cut me a check and I can do as I want with it. I'm hoping the body shop will say it needs the whole bedside painted. Then the cost should more than cover an aftermarket bumper.

Well that's no good. I hope you find a bumper that suits your needs.

I'd call em and check the timing... they may have one in hand but post that for the whiners. You know how it is.. we tell customers all the time - expect 2-3 weeks and when they get a call in 3 days everyone is happy.... easy to beat expectations when the bar is set low. yeah?

Mine is a Fab4 ... was pretty easy to install sans the cable for the tow socket. Hardest part was getting the stock one off but it looks like your 1/3 the way there. I'd say sorry for your loss but I think that stock bumper is a POS and looks like it too. Just sayin

Now I don't worry about idiots texting while driving behind me.... it's gonna hurt when they hit me again and I have MAYBE a scratch (hopefully) and get out and laugh and get a new front bumper with the coin THEIR insurance company gives me.

The stock bumper weights in at about 25#s.. this one is easily 80#s and steel, bolts right to the frame.

I was looking at their bumper also. What was the lead time?

How hard was it to cut the quarter panel off? Did you do it yourself?

I just wish they had a spare tire option.

Got in in like a week or less it was in stock from
    BumperSuperstore.com

Ship date was 1 day after I ordered it. I had it shipped to my work address since I know the
UPS guys that deliver to me there. They are decent.. my home delivery guys stole my first order of sliders.

There is a rear bumper with tire carrier ... not sure who makes it but its out there. I think the fabricator posted it here a few months ago ... looked pretty sweet too.

I read your post as C4 fabrication not fabfour... too many cocktails. That is cool it shipped in a week.

If there was a high clearance option I would go for it from this vendor. A week for a bumper is amazing.

Do any of the rear bumpers allow for the blind sport monitoring to continue working?

    Don't care. Don't have it.

But yes a few I have seen list it as an option.

That came across harsh. Sorry. Again, too many cocktails washing away my trail damage sorrows.
