Fair enough. Ive never gone hammock camping so I was just curious about all the tarps and stakes. I too take my thermacell everytime its not below freezing. its like the one thing I splurge on and don't worry too much about weight.

Haha this one is still wrapped in plastic. Bought it for the wife and she forgot to pack it. Hammocks are great, stay cooler in hot, warmer in cold. I have 2 full load outs in this bag. If the wife or friend doesn't join then I have a lot of different options for weather.

I'm out on bereavement for my FIL, but I did have a brief meeting with my manager this morning. I got the specialist job I applied for. Healthy raise and straight day shift.

ahhh gotcha. yea packing for two people is way different than for just one. I was about to ask where you were going to put all your food! My gf usually carries the food and ill carry most of the communal camp stuff like tent, stoves, etc. shes a damn gourmet backpack chef. I used to only bring noodles and salt and butter if the weather allowed it. she was disgusted at that so I have been converted lol. I mean who can turn down pizza in the middle of the woods?

that's our game plan this weekend! I took the flashlight down to the creek at night and would watch all the little critters flock to the light.

Yeah. It'd even be fine if our truck beds are even wider. The poly floor has enough excess to go up the sides of of the bed.
