I have a 2004 ext cab with bucket seats. Both are in good condition. I will clean them for you before I would trade. I would like to see if someone has a 60/40 bench they wanted to trade. does anyone know if they would bolt right on. I would imagine the worst case senario would be putting extra bolts through the floor. I would give you the center consol too. It would ave to be a meet and swap. Its my dd and I can't ship my seats.
not mine but they're the same ones so you get the idea.

I would so do this if I lived closer. I've been looking for buckets but they were all like $500 fore a used pair from an junkyard. plus a bench makes it easier for road head.

thats really why idecided against it. and now i know my next truck has to have a bench :D

I've done the bench to bucket swap. All first gens will bolt right in, no problems. I put 04 buckets into my 97. Only problem I had was the seat bolts were rusted in pretty good. I broke a couple and had to drill and tap.

Anywhere close to boston? My aunt works out there now as a flight attendent and might need me to take some stuff out there.
I'm acustomed to driving a whole day for stuff. I put over 50k a year on my truck. How comfortable are the bench seats. my buckets make my butt numb after 4 hours of driving. I have to have those wooden beads underneath my seat cover or they are unbearable on long trips.

actually I'm a half hour south of Boston but I'd have no problem meeting you if we found a mutually acceptable time.

I only have the full bench, not the 60/40 but if your looking for a change from the buckets, thats what you want. the 60/40 still has a bucket on the passenger side basically.
The longest trip I've done was 4 hours and it didn't seem too bad. I liked it better than the buckets in a Matrix. You have more freedom to move and adjust your position but I do miss an arm rest on the right. I usually drive right handed but it was awkward when i wasnt cause i didn't know where to put my hand.

Theres a bit of extra padding that was added to the drivers side but it could easily be added to the passenger side. its just a strip of foam that makes the right shoulder part come out a bit more. more could be added.

since you have the extended cab, you should know that the back isnt fully covered with the yellow foam exposed (easy to add more but kinda ugly)

im not trying to sway you either way cause i do but dont want the buckets (for reasons above) but if your interested, let me know and well work it out

There's no fold down armrest on the full bench? I guess it wouldn't be hard to make a box and put some padding on it for an arm rest. I have a stick and so I drive with my left. I like to rest my wrist on something with my hand on the shifter.
I partially would like a bench because I sleep in my truck often and I think a bench would be lightly more comfortable. Currently I am forced to sleep in one of the seats with them reclined as far back as they go but my neck always hurts in the morning. It hard to lay longways in the truck because the seat belt things stick out and the center consol is a hard plastic. The 60/40 bench has a bucket but its flat correct? the ends don't curl up like a true bucket?

Heres a stock Image of the 60/40
    [IMG]
I've always heard it is a true bucket but its hard to tell from the pic and ive never seen one in person
    Heres what I have:
    2a5kbaq_6baab99e0b8a5d3cb17ff1bbe81de878d86f35a7.jpg
but not nearly as raggedy plus mine a bit more styled as its from an '04 not the earlier models (95-99)

im not sure about how far they recline cause i have a reg cab but they fold down almost flat so id assume they go back too. (actually now im not sure. they may fold down but only lock in 1 upright position.) itd still make for a better bed sideways

your's only locks in one upright position? as in it doesn't recline back at all?

my father in law had a 60/40 split in his 97 ext cab he said it reclined pretty far.

that's fine. I'll grab a pic of mine too. I'll try and find a local one to see too. that way I can get an idea of what they can do and stuff.
