I'm waiting for these tires I have now to wear down a little more. I'll probably get the STT's in February. I love these Fierce M/T's I have now but talk about NOT dispelling rocks...holy shit. Theses things pick up and throw rocks worse than a 4 year old in a rock quarry. I'm still getting the STT Pro's though...I can't wait.

Any idea if the 35x12.50x18 is actually going to come out in September. I need new tires before winter and really want to run these on my Tundra.... but my local Discount tire store claimed it would be December/January before they would be out. If they come out in Sept they're likely my next tire, any later and I dont think I can wait for release. Dont want to run my Trail grapplers at 30% tread in snow....

 

From what we've been told, September 1st this size will be available for order; Nitto shows the same on their website

Hmmmm....I wonder how these rate compared to GY Duratracs. I loved them on my last 4R, but these look nice and are a shade cheaper. I'm guessing I should go with LR-E in my 064R if I'm going to be towing and eventually have a RTT and gear in the back? I'll also be waiting to see what Labor Day sale you guys have!

The DuraTrac is a solid tire, but with the Rdige Grappler you can expect to see an improvement in overall ride and handling, less road noise, and better wet performance. The only downside you may see is MPG; the Ridge Grappler utilizes a robust carcass and in most sizes weighs more when compared to the DuraTrac.

 

Thank you sir. So would you recommend the LR-E then since I plan to tow a car every once in a while and plan to have gear and a RTT at some point in the future? I'm guessing yes. Going to order today. Being I ordered the Level 8 MK6 before my tires, will they still mount and balance for free even tho I ordered them in separate orders? Wish I waited on the wheels...could have got an extra $60 off! HAHA

A Passenger Tire or a LT Tire will do the job, as long as the tire meets the vehicles load carrying requirements. That said, you likely don't NEED a 10-ply rated tire, but the heavier duty construction and higher pressure rating certainly does help when hauling/towing.

When it comes to installation... assuming you'll be going to one of our brick and mortar locations, you will be charged $16.00 per assembly. This pricing also includes lifetime balance and rotation

 

Installed today. 35 x 12.5 x 18. Have only driven a few miles home but they are definitely quieter than the pro comp MT. Ride seemed smoother as well. Expected as much with it being a less aggressive tread design. They also do not rub as bad as the pro comps. That is a plus. Here are pics.

 

Got my 35x12.50R18's a week ago. So far I couldnt be happier. Way quieter than the Trail Grapplers and also smoother. Still look very agressive and I think maybe even better on the truck than the Trail Grapplers IMO. MPGs seem to have picked up slightly (around + .5mpg so far on this tank.)

OP, how would you compare Nitto RG's to the KO2, ST Maxx, and GY Duratrac for: snow/ice, noise, and ride quality? For my purpose, which is DD plus overland travel, I think any of them has suitable off road and dry on road traction. My Tacoma usually weighs about 5000 lbs, so I don't think I need an E or D tire. The RG's are appealing due to their weight and Load C. But I live in Denver and will travel in the mountains during the winter. Are the RG's siped to the full depth of the tread? I have Duratracs now. I like them, but they are getting noisy as they wear. I would probably get new tires in 285/70/17. Perhaps would get the KO2 in 34x10.5x17, or the ST Maxx in 255/80/17. But I'm not sure about the exact size yet.

Also, what are the lightest weight wheels you sell that would fit either the 285's or the pizza cutters?

Hi All! I am new here however have been using this site forever! I love it! Anyhow, I just wanted to share some photos of the new tires. I have been looking for new tires forever and right when I was about to make my final decision I came across the Ridge Grappler! Im glad I did. My truck is stock with 5100 Bilstein set at stock height, 18" wheels with +12mm offset. Tire size 275/65/18. YES, it rubs but only to the plastic corner of the fender flares, therefore i trimmed that area off and its all good now (no mud flaps as you all know they fly off on the hwy). First time with this mud like tires so I have no prior experience with mud tires. The tires are quiet until you get to around 60mph it starts to hummm, but not to the point where it is annoying. I guess it is expected, but like I said I have no prior experiences with mud tires so I cannot really compare. Anyhow, they are new and hunting season just started so will update as I put it to work!

According to the specs provided to us by Nitto, the 285/75R-17 LR-C Ridge Grappler weighs 65 lbs which is the same as the Wild Peak A/T3 W.

 

Does anyone know if they will release these in a 16"?
