What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

That seatbelt water is horrific. Maybe I should clean mine...

 

I've washed the front 3 so far. Driver, passenger, and middle. I stuffed the middle seat into my center console to hopefully keep it more organized and not so dirty. I can't believe how gross they were

 

It really is impressive. This is not the first time I have been disgusted at seat belt water. Same goes for seat water. I should look into cleaning my seats and seat belts. I am sure they are saturated with body oils and other nasty no-nos.

 

It was simple. The driver was really really bad. I did that first with the same method. Pulled all I could out and hand washed in a bucket of soapy water. Then rinsed in a bucket of clean water.

That alone REALLY helped with my seat belt retracting on its own.

I plan to pull the seats and carpet out one day and pressure wash them. That's going to be terrible.

 

So you didn't have to remove the seat belts? Maybe I'll give it a try. Definitely seems worth it.

 

I pulled everything I could and stuffed it in a bucket inside the cab. I used a 5gal bucket about half full. The stuff that is left over is RARELY ever out so it isn't as dirty. I unbolted the bottom most bolt into the frame and everything else stayed put.

 

I need to do this, bad.

Dang man, those pot holes at the mall are getting gnarly! That last picture blows my mind.

 

Right?! Colorado has a way of doing that.

 

Finally, a mall I actually want to go to. I'll bet the food court was awesome.

spray ether bunny (starting fluid) around the vacuum lines and fittings while the engine is running. if the idle changes youve found the area of your leak.

 

Can anyone confirm location of cylinder 3? 2nd on the passenger side?

I have yet to do a smoke test but I'm getting p0171 and p0303 but I can hear the hiss coming from near 6.
