How do you choose how much weight over stock to have the leaf packs built for? The max weight you will ever carry? The weight you typically carry? A random number you pull out of your ass?

It's not on this new Gazatteer I bought from Costco. I swear half the trails I know aren't even on this POS. Let me dig up the old one.

It's on the old one but not marked with a number. Like I said in the previous post, if you follow those directions you'll get there.

Better to ask what I have not done.

I am going over my typical summer load (the heavier of the two) im ok with a slightly stiffer ride with how much roll i have. And thats going to be the most used. If your planning on getting springs then eventually getting more things down the road i would plan for down the road.

In terms of figuring weight out i need a stock truck to weigh the rear wheel weight and then we can use that as a base line. We can use my metal yards scale or ask rokmen really nicly about using their single wheel scales.

Auto..The people who are reporting their transmissions 1~1.5 qts. Low on fluid were the same guys saying there was no grease in their u-joints. My u-joints had nearly no grease in them so I assumed the same for my transmission.

    What haven’t I changed?
What about travel numbers for these things? I'm assuming higher capacity = less flex?

More leafs=more flexability. Thats why dakars can flex more then stock and those have 500lbs over stock.

And erics seem to do just fine. You can even make them longer and get even more travle with less work on the springs. And you can go spring under if you want.

I think im going spring under and do an orbit ball to help the springs with the travel.

I think I'll need to sit this one out. There are quite a few variables in play for me since I would want these to work with a shackle flip and shock relocate, and I don't know where to begin to figure out the specs for the springs that I would need for that. Then of course I would need new rear shocks (probably King) for the relocate, and then my OCD would dictate that I need to change the fronts to match as well.

In my case i like the hight i have and that is with my springs flat/negitive. So mine would be helping the pack and there is a thousand other reasons as to why and why not just google it.

Have you ever wrapped a truck before? You'll need an extra set of hands and a lot of patience.

Nope, wrapped many a motorcycle but I can imagine a truck would be much more annoying.
