If I had the money he paid for that cover we would both be tickled!

Man I hope it lasts a long time. I don't plan on getting another truck for a loong time. Made this upgrade now while I can.

Yeah I know what you mean. I have had my 4 cylinder for just shy of 8 months and I'm already wanting to upgrade to the V6. I'm 54 so I know the V6 will be my last.

I had my truck maybe two months when I started wishing I had gotten a 4x4. Not that I need it, just like knowing it's there. And it doesn't help everybody and their mother asks me "Is it 4-wheel drive?"

They ask me the same thing. And I don't need nor do I want a 4X4. If the roads are bad, I'm in my apartment watching it snow or sleet!

Hi all... new Tacoma owner. First order of business is getting some weather protection on the bed. I'm looking for a rollup tonneau cover that is easy to take off and remove. I'll probably need to do this weekly. I move a lot of appliances and seems like I would want to take it off completely when I do that so it does not get damaged. I know there are so many available... just looking for keeping the rain out when I've got something in the bed. Security is not important. Thanks!

That is the exact setup I am looking at, color black too, and it looks awesome!!! Is it fairly easy to remove, like if I need to haul large furniture and have to remove it temporarily? I can't decide on this or the truck covers USA rolling tonneau. I really am leaning towards the diamondback though.

Well I learned something today. Undercover owns Bak Industries (according to the local dealer). He told that Bak had sued Undercover when they came out with the Flex and Undercover ended up purchasing them. Thought it was interesting as I was was there comparing the Flex to the G2.

It is easy to remove. I can remove it by myself in 10-15 minutes. Each of the two larger panels weigh 35 lbs each. The center panel is held together to the bed rails via 4 clamps. The front panel on mine has the cab guard, which adds a small amount of weight. Just remove the 4 clamps on the center panel, open each large panel and pull back far enough to remove from hinges on center panel. It can be removed much faster if you have someone helping you.

I just installed the TonnoSport Access roll up bed cover on my '06 Tacoma. After talking with Realtruck.com before ordering, make sure I will still be able to use the utility track I went ahead with the purchase. It does NOT work with the utility track. The rachet handle that slides up and down on the rail no longer fits with the bed cover track on. Does anyone know if (a) I could get a lower profile handle or (b) which roll up covers work with the existing cargo rail system?

How's the cover holding up? Any regrets? I'm selling my undercover flex because I hate it, lol and am looking for a replacement. I really like the heavy duty look of yours for sure.

    How's the gator trax retractable?
I was thinking of possibly getting it, unless someone can recommend a good retractable one for a decent price.

So here's a question for ya. How does your track mount on the truck? I have a truxedo Tonneau on mine that I love. It hasn't leaked water anywhere. Looks good. Easy to clean. Rolls up or removes in minutes. I also wanted a head rack. I went to the dealer for head rack in town and he told me they mounted to the track system, so if I put a tonneau on I couldn't have the rack. I opted for the tonneau anyway but am very curious about your setup. Taco's don't have the stake pockets that usually mount the racks. By no means am I set on head rack brand, so please let me know where you got yours!

I sold my Undercover Flex today, because it sucks. How are the SE's for you guys that have them? What about the Elite? I haven't seen anyone talk about those. I still want to have access to my rails, which couldn't really w/the Flex. And it leaked horrifically.

    Hi

When you installed your Switcblade did you have to remove your D Rings before you put the clamps on and then reinstall the D rings or were you able to do the install with the D Rings on?

I am going to go with the Switchblade over the Roll N Lock. The latter is $400 more and I don;t see the difference in value.

So I ordered my Extang Solid Fold 2.0 last week and waited for a ship notification. Reached out to the reseller/distributor since I've heard nothing from Extang. Come to find out that production is on hold while they make some revisions to the cover. I'm thinking they must be some fairly major changes to halt production. So now I wait 2 to 3 weeks to see what my patience gets me. The 2.1, 2.5 or maybe the 3.0 version? We'll see.

Guess you missed this thread. Several more members sad with Extang also. I'm waiting on the FedEx guy now with my TruXedo Lo Pro QT. Trying to listen for him because he drops and runs. If the box is beat up he will take it back with him.

For those of you who like the style of the Extang solid fold LEER makes the exact same top but with the aluminum in the product so you won't have the problems of the Extang.
