I like the weight it added to the rear...
I added a larger heavier spare tire under the bed....
Now the rear end sticks to the ground instead of bouncing off the lane reflectors.

 

The reason I asked is that's what I plan to do to get a couple inches of lift. Either aal or Dakars with them. I don't need a lot, I don't wheel. Some back ass west virginney dirt roads is about as bad as it gets for me. Do they ride like shit? What did you go with instead?

For the most part, I just want bigger tars

I bought neww ones to go with my 885s. It might have been a waste of money, but it was worth it for the potential headache saved. This way someone gets a plug and play setup.

 

Which new ones? New 5100s? Or something else ?

I bought new 5100s - I figured the rear was new and everything else in the front was new, so I bought new struts too.

The plan is 5100s, springs, and either aal or Dakar depending on cash flow at the time. Then of course tars, but on stock wheels

I went (5Lug) to a 235/75/15 BFG Long Trail LT.
Gave me a 1 inch lift with bigger tires...
Is enuff for my purpose.

 

Bigger tire will lift without a kit.

 

I'm thinking I can fit 32" Ko2s without chopping shit up

 

Just sayin... The door sill protect is not very noticeable...

 

That's what I did on my 07 taco. But could only fit 1 size bigger. That one was 5 lug super base didn't have shit regular cab model
