Haha, not necessarily. I am sure we can make it work in the spring if you want to wait.

No need for a mount-arb awning attaches directly to the prinsudesigns rack

Mine is mounted high bc I wanted to fully clear the doors. Doesn't need to be though. Will be relocating it down next run. The only thing I added are washers that didn't come with it. Super easy!

What I will tell you is MAKE SURE YOU USE THE STAKES AND GUY LINES EVERY SINGLE TIME it's deployed. That thing will take off in the smallest gust of wind. Don't ask me how I know. ;)

So prepping my 2016 for install, I taped the roof, marked the hole locations, reinstalled the weatherstripping to mark hole locations and i noticed the mounting points on the truck itself are not centered the narrow way. Should i punch the holes centre on the weather stripping?

Since the bolts are 6mm and the inside diameter of the spacers is more like 9mm you will have a little wiggle room. Even if the holes aren't exactly centered the spacers can be pretty close.

Looked to me like that was the case. Maybe off centre towards the inside of the cab by 2 or 3mm?
Also, i'm punching the holes, not drilling so I shouldn't have to cut the underside of the weather stripping with the metal spine off as per your instructions?

    Thanks!

Yeah with the punch you dont have to cut the spine prior. It can make it easier but not necessary. Just know the spine will take some force to punch through.

Whats been everyones preferred powder coat finish!? My rack is coming raw aluminum and I see some textured black, any gloss black?
I was gonna do a "spartan bronze" to match my grille but maybe too much "bronze" I assume a textured black holds up best to wear and tear?

Smooth black will shed dirt, grime, dust, and roadway salt better and is usually a thicker finish because the smooth powder can go on heavier without looking like crap. I use textured as my standard though because it hides scratches and scuffs better. You have to clean it more often but even after tons of abuse you can usually make it look new again with some good polish. The smooth powder will show scratches much easier.

Textured black it is. Looks good, just wanted to do something different. Kinda wish I had ordered it that way now :annoyed:
The lady of the house always wants black, black, black... lol
