**CLOSED**ARB awning GB**

Those are the same dates I got for the awning. Interestingly, the shipping dates for my second order (walls) are a day earlier (Aug 30-Sep 1). Turns out the AutoAnything corporate offices are 10 minutes from me, so hopefully their distribution center is nearby, too.

 

Question for you guys. I have a LEER cap 6' with no rails up top. I want to get this awning but will need rails and roof rack. I'd rather not have to spend $1000 for rails and rack just so I can save money on this awning. The question is. What rail set up do I need in order for me to eventually get a cargo rack that I can mount an awning to? Thanks in advance.

Addendum to prev. post. Just ordered the ARB awning after reading that it will attach to a Prinsu cap rack with the hardware that is included with the awning. That made the decision much easier. Still need to know about the rail system set up for the LEER. And looks like I'm going to be ordering a Prinsu for my cap to match the one for my cab. Win-Win.

 

@ramonortiz55, are you still going to do the GB for the mounting brackets?

Already got the Guy lines and ARB brackets last week.

Now I just have to figure out if I can even mount it to the OEM bars or not.

 

Does it not come with the line to secure it?

 

How do I find out if I can get in on this and what the price is going to be?

 

Read a few pages back, vendor wasn't responding to Ramon who set up the group buy, but if you go to the website there is a 20% discount code to get essentially the same price with shipping. Technically the cutoff was Friday to get in on this.

I was thinking just to use stainless steel hose clamps to clamp the ARB bracket to the OEM crossbars. Would it be strong enough?

Just an FYI for everyone. I am not currently a buyer since I do not have anything to mount this to right now. But I have purchased the Switch-Pros 8100 from Autoanything previously for a 20% discount. They have a one year low price guarantee so when they then advertised a coupon code good for 24% off I called them up to ask if they price matched their own discounts. They said yes and credited me about $20. So keep your eyes open for a 25% coupon sometime in the near future. They have them every so often. When they do you can call their customer service and get an additional 5% off. Also, they seem to keep the items that are available for a discount code for quite some time. When I was finally ready to order the Switch Pro 8100 they were out of stock and remained out of stock for the better part of over a month. But when they were able to restock the product the coupon codes still worked. Most likely that will be the case with these ARB rooms that are out of stock now.

The discount code works fine, just now i ended up buying the 4' awning from autoanything and the windbreak that hangs off one side...going to put it on the rear to cover the tailgate area. Thanks Ramon for helping sort this out! The awning was free 2 day fedex, the windbreak had the option for free overnight shipping... we shall see what comes first! I ordered my husky floormats from autoanything in February and they came pretty fast.

 

Hey you guys that got the 8' awning, could you post up some pics when you get them mounted? I'm not gonna partake of this deal right now for financial reasons but I'm wondering how the 8' awning looks and works on a Tacoma.
