What rear bumper are you getting?

anyone aware of any bumpers that can take the BSM sensors and back up sensors?

 

My guess would be none and probably won't be any. Too much metal to interfere with the blind spot monitor sensors

 

Bump - I saw in another thread somebody mentioned BSM works... but didn't mention which brand (and of course I lost the link to the thread)..

I really like the expedition one bumper. I don't want to cut into the truck, but the truck I'm getting won't come with BSM

I wish they had one for the 2nd gens. The fab fours allows you to keep the stock hitch as well. Alot of people want the high clearance of the hidden hitch, but it's been my experience if you are going to be dragging ass the hitch isn't the worst thing to hit the ground. It's stout, and probably better than bashing up the length of your expensive new HC bumper...

 

Hmm... the site says that it is not compatible? Would love to have info that indicated otherwise.

It looks like the premium one has a cutout for the logo - perhaps that gap allows it to function?

 

I dont have either on mine, but what are the 4 circular holes (just back-up?)

He just said his truck doesn't have either. Looking at the pic is does incorporate the parking sensors. I don't think any are advertised to work with the BSM sensors, however it is possible they will work depending on how thick the metal is (since the sensors go in the right and left corners of the bumper)

 

theoretically speaking, couldn't you just drill holes in the bumper for the stock sensors

 

For parking sensors, yes. Not for BSM as it's a module that detects vehicles through the bumper.

 

Also interested in this. Want a metal rear bumper but will not get one if BSM will not work.

Don't have parking sensors so I don't want those cutouts.

 

So they have a package that has BSM but not parking sensors in Canada? Interesting

 

Yeah. I believe parking sensors only come on the limited here.

How are you liking it so far? Besides toughness factor and looks, does it help with departure angle. I've noticed that's already going to be an issue on these trucks.

What the hell is the price. Can't find it.
