i don't really have any problems, however, i would like to get the upgraded shocks and extra leaf springs. what should my "complaints" be to the dealer. those who were successful in getting theirs done, what did you say your problems were? thanks.

if you dont have any problems...why are you gonna try to scam the dealer out of "free" parts

i bet you'd flip shit if the dealer made you pay a little extra "processing" fee back when you bought your truck and they didnt really have to "process" the paperwork

tell them you have a really rough ride with only a minimal amount of weight in the bed. just think of something to tell them that you haul. just make sure that whatever you tell them doesn't exceed the capacity of the truck! a good example: few bags of mulch, dirt bike, or four wheeler

I hate to say this, but: the dealer steals our money every chance they get. so for us, this is like a little revenge. but on a more serious note maybe if they see such a huge response to a tsb maybe they will fix the problem on the following years so when i buy my next taco i wont have to deal with little issues like this.:)
    just a thought.

Actually this is why it's hard for some folks to get the TSB done even though they have clear marks on their frames from the bump stops. Dealers don't believe anyone because everyone says they have the problem.

Who's your dealer? I bought mine at North Hills and they did it no problem... just had to ask for the TSB.

I'll let you know. Still fighting mine out with Toyota and the local dealertards.

My advice: Put 16 50lb sand bags in the back and drive to the dealership. There's no way in hell they can deny that. I'll be doing it this weekend, actually.

If you need it you will know. Put weight in the back. Do you tow? you can let them know about that as well.

I don't have a clue as to how you live with your self. :notsure: The thought that a dealer would not scam anyone. Who would ever thought?

Man if you feel real bad then you might seek help. Just hate to see a guy all beside him self.

I say what comes around goes around. Do into others that will/have/going to do into you. Go get your springs and what ever you can get out of them.

That you dont know how to use the search feature on Tacomaworld.lol!
Try loading you bed full of stuff then driving you truck around and feel it for yourself. That would be my advice.Or you can go in the with a script writting on your hand and say 'TSB' like 7 or 8 times.

You don't have to ask, or fabricate, the complaint the dealer needs to hear is shown right on the TSB that Toyota issued to take care of the complaint.

I figure if Toyota decided there was a problem and issued a fix for it I might as well go have it taken care of.
I'm not trying to scam Toyota, they decided there was a problem, not me.

So I drive over to the dealer and I said to the service guy "I got this TSB off the internet and I have a harsh ride".
He say's "let me check if we have those parts in stock".
"Yep, we got 'em, can you leave the truck right now".
    I say "sure".
He says "you have a harsh ride, right"?
    I say "yeah".
He writes it up that way and by that afternoon it was all taken care of and the trans TSB too.

as much as i want to agree, the "stealerships" steal from us all the time as others have mentioned, and why should he have to wait till he loads the truck, feels the problem and then has to go get this fixed. get it done now before toyota changes their mind.

I dont like dealerships anymore than the next guy.But if you want something from them,Know what the fuck your talking about before you head down there and start off every sentence with 'TSB This' or 'TSB that'.It just makes it harder from the next guy to get it done.Feel it for yourself! Are people that lazy they cant throw some junk in a truck they bought to haul stuff and drive around............oh wait all you have to do is look at every new thread on this forum to answer that question
