I want to plan on LT, (rather than go MT only to upgrade, lol 2wd problems), but I've heard that LT isn't good for a daily driver. Is your rig a daily driver?

My Taco is a daily driver at the moment. I wouldn't know first hand how dailying a fully LT setup would feel like lets say if fully caged and built like Chris rig. @nfs257

Very few LT guy DD their truck. I can probably only think of one guy and he might even have a car that he drives. Guys that do DD it will only do it for a few years before selling or picking up a car to DD.

Exactly what I mean. Especially for a fully caged LT'd front and rear rig like Chris's, I wouldn't imagine DD one. I would be curious as to how a more mild kit up front, such as a 2+ kit, would be for DD (2+ LT up front and MT rear or perhaps a SUA setup). It's all a climb in $$ though. Seems like a bigger decision when to stop rather than how to build it.

When I was SUA rear and LT front I drove from San Diego to Chicago and back. Wasn't that bad. Links and cage make it very interesting. I'm gearing up now to do 6k-10k mile road trip in about 2 months.

Effective September 2, 2016: San Bernardino National Forest fire restrictions restrict building, maintaining, attending or using a fire, campfire or stove fire. There are no wood or charcoal fires. Individuals with a valid California Campfire Permit may use either a propane, gas cooking stove or lantern.

Forest visitors are encouraged to call or visit the Ranger Station to check on location conditions and restrictions: San Bernardino National Forest Supervisor's Office, 602 S. Tippecanoe Ave., San Bernardino, CA, (909) 382-2600.

No wood fires we can still use a propane camp fire & grill.

That would be the one... Anyone have any long LED string lights or something similar? We can make a communal area that's all lit up.
