Ok so people seriously interested in the alcan springs who are you? I need an estimate of how many packs there could be.

We could just all go there and install them in the parking lot. haha

Bumping this, come on guys. If your going to get springs take it from this list on doing it right the first time. 2 or more of us currently have dakars and regret spending the money on them.

I'd consider the alcans but so many people love the dakars and they are like half the price. I wonder why so many people here are having issues with them? The only real issue I hear of with them is squeaking usually.

I meant you, I feel like I always see your rig in the area around my place. As far as Spicy goes, I'm wary of all 3rd gens, so I'm already all eyes and ears

What in particular bothers you?

 

Thats what I thought... and I am eager to put new ones on there after only a year.

Granted I do have more weight on them, but the fact that they are supposedly rated for 500lbs... BS.

 

For 97% of the people they are more than adequate.

With the weight I have, they are useless. I keep seeing people say they are rated for 500 pounds, but there is no way. at 500 pounds, they are flat, and I do a lot of bumpstopping offroad.
