    You guys aren't very friendly.
My first wife was from Iowa. We'd drive back there occasionally to visit her family after the floods.
Everybody there raises their index finger as they pass you on the road, was the coolest thing ever. Here it's the middle finger.

I didn't realize I would be adding so much weight, but thats just what happens when you add the accessories that we all add.

And yes, the squeaking is crazy annoying.

    That'll do it!
Interesting, I guess I dont have that much in the bed. We'll see what happens when I get a rear bumper & swingout, might go alcan then.

Till then my bank account has enough to cry about. Why are roof racks and Bumpers so expensive?? :annoyed:

Much easier to do it right the first time. :D

OME seemed like the recommended way to go... I would've saved a lot of time and money by doing a little more research and doing it correctly the first time.

    I should revise my story.

If I'm on a dirt road I wave at every passerby. Just customary.

    Oh and... :luvya:

Dakars are meant to be close to flat. That way they can articulate up and down. I'll try to dig up a great post explaining their design.

Loaded with 500 lbs my Dakars ride like a dream. With an empty bed (and topper) it's a very stiff ride which I've become accustomed to.

    Damn.

    I'm still down.

But just know, the ribbing I take from you for driving a Prius will pale in comparison to what you receive when I blow you off the line.

Well, they do a lot of bottoming out, which IMO is a slight issue. :D I'd like to get it weighed one day. But just with the topper, water, air compressor, maxtrax, bed divider, im sure thats 350 pounds if not more. And theres usually more back there. Camping stuff isnt too heavy but if I leave some tools in there for just in case stuff, that adds up quick.

Shit... I've been hauling a lot of rock lately and I readily put 1500 to 2000 lbs in the bed and it still rides like a dream and the springs don't have negative arch.

    No AAL either.

I went with OME as a 1st/budget lift and couldn't be more pleased. As time goes on, I'll replace it piece by piece to a full LT setup and will prob settle on Alcans. Super end-game, level-capped stuff
