Better to ask what I have not done.
You could always use one under the bed for a rear winch. Or i could do that....

@thefatkid @lotsoftoys any recommendations on outer tie rod replacements? I was planning on Moog but don't want the boot bursting after only a few months, especially when winter is coming.

Factory is the only thing I will run. Lifetime replacements are great in theory until you're replacing them every 10-15k miles. I'll be replacing the ones on my 4runner for the 1st time, it has 230k miles on it.......

Can you PM me the price for the outers from your dealership? I'll be in Denver this weekend, maybe I can swing by and pick some up on Friday.

Seems a little premature for that to go bad. I know stock they suck. I already replaced mine but I did it myself

    Yes.

A: Going to be an absolute shitshow of people.

B: Someone posted a link the other day saying several of the passes were closed due to snow.

It was just San Miguel Co that closed stuff (Black Bear, Ophir, Imogene), and from what I saw on the 14er forum that snow has melted off though I don't know if the passes have been reopened on that west side. Holiday weekend, probably will be more people than usual, but given the area I'm not even sure what that means except when there's an actual event in the area like the FJ thing.

Yeah mostly concerned with people this weekend. Thought maybe it was far enough away that it wouldn't be as busy.

Yeah... Do you have like a ten inch lift or something? I can't see a three inch killing that bearing in that short a time, even without a spacer. But what the hell do I know. I'd definitely be talking to another dealer or something, especially if you disagree with them. They don't have a new one on the lot with a lift they installed you can point at do they? Unless they can *prove* the lift caused the problem they can't deny the warranty. But that may be more of a fight/hassle than you want to deal with. There's a really nice write-up on here if you wanted to do it yourself. Looks like something even I'd be willing to do on my own.

Nope, just a 2" OME lift, installed about 5k miles ago.

I'll probably talk to some of the dealers down ABQ way, as I'm down there fairly often.
