When I worked at a large GM dealership years ago, we used to occasionally get GMC Surbans with Chevy grills or steering wheels or W/T Sierras with Chevy hubcaps. Humans build them....shit happens.

Had a 1984, got so tired of re-doing the bed every year that I sold it and didn't buy another new Toyota until 2014. [FJC] Rest of the truck was solid but that bed design.............right up there on the list of crap body design with the mid 70 Blazer rust outs on top of the rear fenderwells. Dodge didn't learn and their mid 00'' on up beds are rusting out above the rear fenderwells also due to the moisture trapping design.

Everything gets plasti dipped anyways. Maybe it was an evaluation model. We have those types of mismatched cars here at work all the time to judge which is better.

I heard the Prius assembly line in right next to the Tacoma line so when your truck arrives and you see an extension cord in the bed I'd pop the hood real quick :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Toyota doesn't built 1000's of tacomas a day. In fact only like 600 and they have 2 plants producing them. Obviously someone mixed the parts up in the queues, or didn't follow the build sheet. Agree in the end it should of been caught by someone in the final quality control inspection.

All good. They are producing a fair amount, however little excuse for something so apparent to be passed through QC. Hell if someone on there PC can notice it how does a person/crew, getting paid to inspect these miss it right infront of them. Not to mention to see it cruising down the assembly line past hundreds of workers. No reason for it at all. I'll have to find a link to the Japan Toyota quality control. They were pretty tight

    -Signed, Another Satisfied '16 Owner

You know, the best part of these threads aren't the daily issues posed or TSB du jour by some poor owner with 3 posts and pulling into the driveway after dropping $40K with a howling diff and shaking hood. It is actually the responses of other 3rd Gen owners on the forum that say things like "its the first year, it's a Ford employee positing shit, it's only the diff, radio, brakes and steering wheel! Or my fave: "Well, my '16 is flawless!" which actually doesn't help the OP in the slightest.

    Which category are you?

Now, lets keep this Crazy Train rollin and keep on a Trollin! What's the next '16 TSB we can discuss?
