Glad you're both alright, but one question.

How did the passenger side on both get hit? Pretending you're in jolly old england?

Dude. Glad everyone is okay. But, man, that is tragic.

I came real close to losing mine yesterday. Coming up on an intersection and some numbskull up ahead was asleep at the green light, so my lane was stopped while all of the other lanes were almost full speed. I stopped, but the guy behind me wasn't paying attention, big old 1980s F150, locked up his brakes at the last second. He was probably a couple inches off my bumper when he came to a stop. I was braced, I thought for sure he had my number.

Two crosses should be added on the side of the road to note this tragic loss. Sorry for you and your family.

Just saw this guys, I don't get to be on the forums very much these days...

Those sliders were straight mig, hard wire, from an inverter based machine. I think those pictures are probably from a 85/15 mix gas, as we only recently switched to a different gas. That is welded with a small weave, but the way the inverter puddle is you don't get the stack of dimes look as much. You have to go to wave pulse or have some funky weave patterns for that. Our machine only does wave pulse on aluminum, which is cool, but a PITA.

We're in the process of switching some products (sliders included) over to a Lincoln pulse waveform, but still on hard wire. The welds look even cleaner with that.

I have heard good things about dual shield, but have been told save that for thicker material.
