2rz/3rz whats the difference between them

    what is the difference between the 2rz and the 3rz.how do i get the power of 3rz out of 2rz with out after market mods? is there an engine accessory i can pull off the 3rz?

    Its compression ratio. The 3rz has balance shafts where the 2rz doesn't, also.

    Yes, the 3rz has a higher ratio. 9.5:1 vs 9:1. IIRC. Someone will correct me if I am wrong on the ratio numbers.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    There is only about a 10hp/20ftlb torque difference between the motors.

    You could get a set of headers and do the deck plate mod to gain about that, if not a little more.
