Does anyone make a low profile version of this for RRT setup?

His is the same height as the one in the photo. I was lookin for something lower so the RRT isn't sitting so high but still have a canvas cover over the bed with an external frame

You can't make the cage lower. When you fold the ST forward, the hoops raise higher than what it sits when in use. If you never fold it forward, you could have a lower profile cage.

I received my KBvoodoo tailgate cap and was planning on using super magnets like others have used to hold the back flap down.

However, I was wondering if anyone tapped out three holes to mount snaps to the cap. Of course this would mean I would have to add the three snaps to the flap as well.

Just wondering if this has been done previously. If so any feedback?

Are you saying have snaps along the back to hold the back flap down?

As often as I'm using the bed of my truck, those snaps would be wore out in 6 months. I just don't see snaps lasting hundreds of cycles.

I guess if I used my bed that much it might be an issue or I would have to replace a snap every couple years.

However, with all my jeep soft tops I have never had a problem breaking a snap.

I was more curious on the pulling force being an issue. I suppose if I install them so there is not an extreme amount of pull needed it would be good.

I haven't heard of anyone doing that. I ended up using a piece of Velcro this company supplied and so far so good. Your voodoo method will probably be good enough

Yeah Velcro would be the best, but I do not have luck in this Texas heat keeping velcro sticking for a decent amount of time. Guess I will give it a go and report back.

Lol! Trust me, I have. I've had this thing for a while now. I just washed the truck today so it reminded me....was kind of hoping someone figured out a magical procedure. :notsure:

I convinced myself from the begining that I bought a tan topper :D

I live in a desert myself and after a full hot summer I am having trouble with the velcro adhesive. Something you might try is velcro with no adhesive backing then use heavy duty outdoor double side tape. Once I figure out how to get the old adhesive off the canvas without damaging it I plan to try it myself.

I've tried that, many times. There is still mud splatters on it from the first trip I took with it installed. Maybe my wax-on, wax-off skills need to be fine tuned :notsure:

You have since wierd nasty mud. Our tops are made of the same stuff as Jeep soft tops and Jeeps have been known to get dirty. Maybe try one of the cleaning products sold to that crowd.
