Lucy got a new butt a month or two ago.

Took off the tire swing because I wasnt going to use it and it injured me within 24 hours. I'm actually letting a friend have this bumper before his Moab trip next year.

My friend is one of the funniest people I've met in the last six years. This was our discussion on wood... Let's play murderer.

I sent his wife pindrops where camp is because we won't have cell signal and she may need to send the search party in case he arrives home with a red Tacoma...

Find an REI, open a line of credit and go hog wild! Of course I go to the extreme. Get a legit camp stove set up where you can boil water. Some of the MSI stuff is pretty sweet. Their cookware as well as stoves are nice and I have one. Great for canned soup with minimal cleanup with water. If you've got a solid cooler pre prep some food and just reheat in the stove.

A hatchet is necessary, or, get a bow saw. Nothing cuts a wheeling trip short like a tree across the road. Recovery straps and a saw/axe go a long ways. Oh, a latrine tool helps for those Mother Nature moments. Bring TP or wipes. Just sayin

No. No REI. It'll ruin me. I need to focus on buying a house early next year before I go wild on camping stuffs.

I am trying to find a happy medium with camping stuff. I brought too much my first trip with TW folks. Last time I brought not much more than coolers(food and drinks), truck bed tent, sleeping stuff, clothes, doge, sunscreen, bug spray, tp/babywipes, shovel, and light source. Bought some new solar lights and a grill that goes over the campfire today.

And an EPI pen and benadryl when I inevitably get stung by yellow hornets when I'm trying to pee in the woods. This is a good list, keep it going.

Also, this is one night of camping. My friend has an incredible wife, two wonderful children, and an idiot dog to get home to. Im trying to pack somewhat light for this venture. The more intense camping trips come in the fall. :D

See if you can find a few MRE's. While not gourmet they are pretty solid...in more ways than one.

I can get those for free from some military buddies. Not sure I want to go that route.

I'd pack the hell out of them for a trip. I'm not ashamed to eat them.

I might get some to store as emergency supply. Putting that on my list of things to do in September. Gotta hit up my buddies before they deploy. Ones going to Korea within a month, another to an unknown destination.

Still easy to pack in and well, trash out. Most likely you'll still be feeling then for a few days afterwards.
