**2015 Bent Frame** help needed

    i bought a 2015 4x4 V6 SR5 DCSB brand new last year.
    i put a 6" suspension lift on it about a year ago.
    last week i was looking at the truck from the rear and noticed the truck was leaning bad towards the driver side.
    i brought it to a local respectable off road shop that is owned by one of my buddies.
    he said that my leaf springs on the driver side were bent, causing the lean.
    it was 1.5" lower on the driver side.
    he said replacing the factory springs and the 4" block with after market heavy duty springs and a smaller block would fix my issue and prevent it from happening again.
    i went to pick up the truck yesterday.
    he said "bad news man, i think your frame may be bent. after we replaced the springs and block it was still leaning about an inch to the driver side; so we used a one inch block on that side to compensate for the lean."
    and the truck is level again, but its a new truck and i am not going to leave it this way.

    any help would be greatly appreciated. i need to get this fixed ASAP because in a week i will be working seven days a week, twelve hour days for 60+ days straight. i need my truck fixed.

    anyone have any helpful suggestions?

    All 2nd gen Tacomas have a driver's side lean in the front, some also have a driver's side lean in the rear. The shop most likely is unaware of that. If the truck has never been in a major accident then the frame is not bent.

    Edit: Also I have never heard of a leaf spring becoming "bent". They either wear out and become flat or break.

    the leaf spring on the driver side had an obvious "S" curve in it.
    and im pretty sure that i would notice my truck leaning and inch and a half much earlier if it had been like that from the factory. ive had it for a year and a half.
    when i noticed it last week, it was like hitting a wall, the lean was very very very obvious

    Using blocks to lift the rear will cause axle wrap, and large ones like that will damage the springs. The S you mention is because of your blocks inducing the axle wrap, not the frame. It is the effect of the additional leverage the blocks are placing on the spring under load. It is exceptionally common (if not the norm) for lifted Tacomas to lean to the driver side. Quality lifts that are designed for the Tacoma take this into account in the design and try to mitigate it, but most still end up with a lean. Was your front suspension right/left side specific? If not it is not designed to counter the lean. I would not advise stacking uneven blocks on the rear axle.

    In short, your frame is fine. It is your lift that is causing the issue.

    Nothing wrong with your frame, get rid of your blocks.

    Different sized blocks on either side is not a fix. Bad idea. The larger the block, the worse it is for the leaf springs. If you are going for a larger lift, a good leaf pack is ideal. As for a bent frame, if you are concerned about it take it to the dealer. Its a 15 and is still under warranty. I seriously doubt they will find a bent frame. Theyll probably tell you its a bad suspension.

    lol @ 4" blocks. half-ass suspension, especially in an extreme manner, will give shitty results. who knows why you're surprised.

    Just drive to work and back. After your long hours/weeks, get your truck fixed. Unless you are rock crawling to get to work, don't worry about it. You've drove it this long and didn't notice the lean, right?

    just to clarify things
    it was leaning with the factory toyota springs with a 4" block under them. (drivers side leaf springs were bent)
    i bought brand new taller springs to take the place of the 4" blocks.
    the truck is still leaning 1" lower on the driver side than the passenger side in the rear.
    i spent yesterday going to body shops all over town to get each guys opinion on possibly straightening out my frame. each and every one of them said "i can do it for you, but before you go spend that kind of money you should make dam sure that those brand new springs aren't the issue"

    so after getting the same answer all day long, i went back to the shop that installed the springs (they were installed brand new out of the box two days ago).
    the owner of the place just about blew a gasket when i told him that all the frame guys in town suggested that the springs he sold me were possibly the issue.
    so, the owner of the shop says to me "ok, just to prove their theories wrong, i will swap the springs out, and if it still leans, its your frame"

    I can't believe he agreed to swap out the springs to prove his point. He just needed too remove them lay them both on a flat surface side by side and compare.

    I was rear ended a few years back. He bent my leaf spring and it was only a few years old.

    Obviously your buddy has never heard of taco lean. You'll need to compensate with probably a 2x6 instead of the 2x4 piece of lumber being used to lift your truck.

    Get rid of your crap lift and get a Dakar leaf pack.

    obviously you read with your eyes closed. you'll need to scroll up a notch and read up above what i posted this morning. the blocks are gone and have been replaced with brand new leafs to compensate for the 4" of height lost when removing the blocks.

    Your frame's most likely not bent and the new leafs are good. The reason you now have a 1" lean on the drivers side is completely normal... all of these trucks have it due to more weight on that side (driver, battery, fuel tank, etc.) Search this forum for "taco lean".

    the research that i have done on taco lean suggests a quarter inch of lean in on the driver's side.

    when i blew out my driver side spring, it caused the 1.5" lean. so i replaced the springs with bigger springs and ditched the blocks. at that point, i was left with a 1" lean. so they added the shim on that side to make it level.
    so if i remove the shim, ill be left with a new truck that leans 1" to the driver side.

    for those of you who are giving me useful info, i really appreciate yall taking the time out of yalls day to read this and offer help
    thanks a bunch fellas!
    its a shitty feeling to have a new truck that has issues like this
