Stopped by Avid Offroad yesterday to have my frame mounted bolt-on sliders installed. Great meeting @brandonaz , @Juan's Taco, and @snowtank. Also thanks @2ndGenJonny for keeping me updated while they were being built. Stoked for the Turkey Creek run on Sunday to test these bad boys out.

I wish I could be on your bike level, to many other hobbies and things to drop money on right now maybe down the road once again. I haven't had a beast of a mountain bike since my teens, and that was back when hard tails still were #1.

I hear that!! Mountain biking is definitely my main hobby, so that's a lot of my spare money goes, between new bikes every two years and riding trips. Truck and other hobbies tend to come after that, but it seems that now my house remodel has become the main priority.

I still have a hard tail, but I barely ever ride the thing. For the terrain I ride, I definitely need a full squish, so it's my 6" trail bike and DH bike that get used most often

Yah I want to get back into a nice full suspension again, or a dh, I just have a very generic like $400 schwin right now that I got on a clr deal for like $100 a few years back it gets the job done but nothing fancy would like a nice $4k bike again. I'll have to hit you up when your looking to move into a new one to see what your used prices are looking like lol. I haven't biked hard since when I lived in Delaware for a year and that was like 15 years ago lol. But same here house remodel, baby, paying off debt, my truck, wife, guns, photography, camping, games, and right now softball crap lol, to much to spend on.

Have you taken him out to the Desert Trails Bike Park in Mesa or the Estrella Mountain Bike Park yet? Some fun stuff out there, as well as some bigger stuff to work towards.

Also, depending on yours and his level of interest, the whole ski resort bike park thing is growing rapidly and a lot of fun... Snow Summit out in Big Bear is a great place to go for beginners. Also a decent place for a family vacation. I am heading out to Angel Fire New Mexico this weekend to ride the bike park there and rode several in Colorado just a few weeks ago. Amazing how much better you get banging out bike park laps.

Yep, some first world problems we have!! And the bike industry doesn't make it easy.. Some super blingy parts that all come with a hefty price tag. 10k for a high end bike is pretty damn common now. But, thankfully there are some direct to consumer brands out there that are shaking things up. YT Industries namely super top notch bikes with vary affordable build options....
