Replace front upper ball joint, or entire UCA?

I have a UBJ in the front that is shot. Was going to replace the ball joint, but saw a couple people here that said I should just get an entire UCA and replace that.

Any opinions?

 

I am of the opinion that you should get aftermarket control arms.

It is expensive, and not everyone wants to.

I put on a 3" lift; and I got Total Chaos Upper Control Arms ... because I wanted to.

 

Not trying to break the bank. lol. But also, I don't off road my truck at all. It's my daily driving pavement pounder.

 

Depending on how shot it is you can find cheap stock uca take offs that are almost new on the for sale page. Pretty often people upgrade their new or almost new trucks and sell them for cheap:

People unload their new UCA's for cheap all the time in the Classifieds. I would buy those instead of rebuilding. Shit, buy a couple sets of you're gonna keep the truck long.

Hey bro I don't know how much of a hurry you may be in but I just ordered and recieved my new upper control arms and will be looking to sell my factory uppers if your interested. Also will have front and rear shocks available as well.Truck only has 15,000 or so on it so everything is basically new.

Just maybe a week or 2 before I can get my new ones on and get these shipped out to you. I dont mind shipping them just may be a week or two. still waiting on other parts of my lift before I can get my old stuff taken off.
