    Hi,

So I have a 2016 gray MGM with 14 K miles. The issue is a leaking shock (not leaking by Toyota standards) and some cupping/feathering on the tires. There is a screaming deal on CL on 2016 off road suspension. Can I swap suspension from sport to off road? Is there a leaf pack difference or any other difference? Thanks!

I think the leaf pack is the same on both

That's no joke, I keep thinking I'm going to swap in my 5100s but the OR OEM ride is too good right now to change it.

Don't do it, everyone I've heard who gives honest feedback on that exact swap says it rides much stiffer/harsher.

It's $150 for the suspension and it has 600 miles on it. So it's hard to pass on it. It's stiff as fuck but the tires will stop feathering. It really sucks that Toyota will not replace under warranty. I can't drive another 20k miles to prove its defective. That's bullshit. It was not a pretty sight at the dealer. I went up the chain till I got the guy with the suit. Very disappointed. For the guys driving these trucks watch your shocks and tires. It's no fun driving in the snow we get on cupped tires. The good news is that I get rid of the factory piece of shot tires sooner than I thought.

Agree...The off road suspension rides like a truck. Passenger tires and sport suspension make the ride too squishy.

To be honest-I could do either but I'm pissed at the suspension right now. I would rather give th OR a shot and see. If that don't work, we will do something else. I feel like I'm in a first gen thread. Damn

Ok. I'll have to take a look at the dealer at a new one and see. Anyone with LT tires and OR suspension have feedback on the ride? Thanks

I agree with you about the smooth ride on the TRD OR 4x4. Some don't like the soft ride but I like the comfort that it has. I have delayed choosing between the Toytec 2.0 or OME 887 lift because I don't want the lift to change a great ride. Anybody got either lift that can give some comparisons to the stock 4x4 OR ride?

If I want a rough riding Taco I take out the 1st gen.

The stock OR suspension is really too nice to change. Very surprised how nice it rides on the road, especially for an "offroad" truck.

I tested both and dug the Sport ride. Yes it's stiff but it shines on windy roads if you're into that sort of thing.

We swapped today. It's a done deal the OR is on. I think it rides like a truck should ride. It feels like a Toyota truck now. Yes it's more comfortable to ride the sport suspension which is why we got it. But the shit leaks. Never had a problem with the OR suspension on out 2000, 2004 or 2015. So went OR cause leaking shocks fuck up tires and joint ETC...

And how well it rides on 'almost' roads for a road vehicle.
