Right, like I said, no glass coverage? Your glass should be covered through your insurance company.

Not worth what? There's no deductible with glass and a glass claim does not make your insurance go up. You're paying for the coverage, silly not to use it.

 I plan to get a Jerry can or two of fuel mounted up there some time soon. And, the ultimate goal (realistic goal, at least) would be to have an RTT above the cab.

I purchased this plug from Amazon

Radar Mount Mirror Wire Power Cord with Inline Fuse RJ11 - Valentine V1 Radar Detector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RA38XEK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_7RjYxb6N42BXJ

It plugs into the back of the mirror.

It's mounted to the mirror via this mount

I believe someone IS making a functional fiberglass hood with a scoop that'd work perfectly with the airaid intake that should be available any day now.

edit: RK Sport makes the hood. After looking at the pics and the airaid on my truck, those two would or should match perfectly.

We'll I didn't do the mod but apparently someone wanted my tailgate more than me. So for the foreseeable future my truck is about 50 pounds lighter. I hope someone finds this prick slipping up somewhere and we catch him/her. Dealership is quoting me an arm and two legs to replace it! If anyone sees a quicksand tailgate pop up in the southwest I will share the last few numbers of my vin with you to see if its mine. Thanks

That's messed up, people suck. Hopefully insurance will cover it.

That blows. Nothing worse than a thief.

You mentioned VIN, is the tailgate stamped somewhere?

Comp is usually a few dollars a month. Well worth it.

I'm not sure I never checked the tailgate for a vin sticker however I would assume it has one on the lower lip that faces the bed when the tailgate is in the lowered position.

I would like to say yes however, I did a fair amount of research on the Tacoma but failed to read about the tailgate having to be manually locked by the key found in the drivers manual. Whenever I went to open it I hit the unlock button way before I ever reached for the handle and I never checked to see if it was locked when I locked the doors. So my nativity assumed that the lock was powered. In sort no I don't think it was.
