Never been to Idyllwild, nor any of the surrounding areas, but from the pics I've seen, I need to get out there. I'm down with exploring.

The Pilot Rock area that @MADSTEEZE, @Mike likes Tacos and I explored after we all did Cleghorn last time was a lot of fun, some tricky spots for sliders but it was all easily avoidable...could be fun to do again and maybe explore a bit further (if it's open, there was the Pilot Rock fire around there after all)

Idyllwild is great. 2wd friendly, nothing really challenging but great scenery and a fun drive

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Not sure 100%. I wouldn't think it is, though...

I heard they caught on fire, but did't burn down. Will be bulldozed anyway to rebuild.

It being that close to the entrance to the trail is what makes me think it would be closed, but if the guys from SCOR were out there recently I guess it's still open

No, the fire didn't burn it down.....though it came close! It's probably still closed for repairs though.

You talking about Santa Maria up by Pismo? If so, I don't think I can handle holiday weekend traffic going out/coming back so soon after dealing with it for Pismo.:annoyed:

+1 for Idyllwild or Big Bear
