Well they gave me a second gen trd Sport Tacoma.

Once again, huge difference in power and speed/feel. I broke em loose not even trying...

Toyota screwed up on our 3rd gens I think.

Aside from playing musical cars and finding out for myself how much of a difference there is between the 4.0 and 3.5...

I'm going to put pressure on Toyota. The sales guy even said this should be a buy back type thing.

There's no reason at all on why it should be openly getting dirt, sand, dust, etc in the gas tank. The first time, ok.. there was a SMALL possibility some random person walked past a business and poured sand in my tank.

This time, there were physically no one else around. FOR MILES. I only filled up and top tier fuel stations , twice along my trip. I wiped and blew out the filler neck before each time.

I drove it home, unloaded it, then drove to Walmart, then to ice cream, then home. Washed it, and it dies.

Once again, it dies from a hand wash.

Oh, and my service manager "no longer works with the company".

I found that out today. From the rental lady....

That may be a good sign. Maybe they figured out the problem and figured out that he screwed up? Hopefully the person filling in is more helpful.

The guy filling in its the head service manager, the guy in charge of the whole department. He started to mention insurance again, but that is NOT happening. Once the dealer reports back, I will be opening a 5th case with corporate. They will know me by name here soon....

I don't think my "demands " are much. All I want to to be able to drive my off road truck... Off road... Or even down a gravel road... And wash it.

I also want Toyota to stand by their products.

Nah man don't let the dealer dick you around. "Vandalism" in the first case may have been valid, but for the same shit to happen again with just a car wash under the belt reads as they fucked up last time and now that its happening again they're scrambling hard

Op....I have followed this thread all along. Don't let them tell you it's dirt in the system...that's Bull shit. I've had more dirt /dust than one can imagine. It's a defect. Demand a new truck....call a lawyer asap...
There is a road in this pic...31 miles of it.

I saw you were making YouTube videos before...

Make one that sums up what has happened, all the corporate stuff...get it viewed... Then people will start asking questions.

And i cannot believe you went back to the same dealer that screwed you last time.

As soon as they fuck you over again (and add sand to your tank so they can test it and see it in there), take it directly to a drive through car wash without getting gas. When it dies again, have it towed to a better dealer to be lemon lawed.

This is not a design issue. This is an assembly or component issue. Nobody else has this problem. They need to fix your truck. This dealer is probably NOT going to fix your truck.

Consider this: How much did you pay for your deductible? I bet it would cost less for a lawyer to write a couple letters and make a couple phone calls to get the dealer off their ass. Also, he could hopefully show that it was not vandalism and your insurance should not have paid. Your insurance might be interested in joining that fight. If the lawyer is able to recover your deductible, you might come out about even. Hopefully you'd have a working truck or lemon check at that point.

You're in a tight spot and that sucks. Good luck.

:notsure: really? The OPs truck has real major problems. This is not a vibrating hood or a howling diff. For God's sake you and your elite technicians can't even figure out the problem.
