I don't torque a lot of things though.

I usually go with the "tight theory" aswell.

I installed the new cv and am still getting the popping noise when turning stationary.. Fun.

I'm fairly OCD. Therefore, I torque things to spec as much as possible. Do you have a torque wrench that will get you to 101 ft-lbf?

Got my 150 ft/lb torque wrench at Harbor Freight for around $30 with the 20% off coupon. Some things are hit and miss at HF but no issues still. I'm glad I ran across the dynabeads post. Mine is vibrating all over the place too. Running KM2's as well

Good to know! I bought a breaker bar once at hf and snapped it on the first use and rounded off the axle nut on my jeep, I haven't bought socket related stuff since

For $30, I'd jump on that. You'll need an Allen socket for that rear nut, btw. Can't remember the size...

So it turns out the bolts on my steering racked somehow backed themselves off.....????? :notsure: I tightened them and Boom! It solved my clunk, so that's an accomplishment, I'm still questioning how exactly that happened but who knows..
I also got my carrier bearing installed today, I didn't get a chance to drive it yet, but I'm praying my vibes go down. The bearing was thrashed, so I'm hopeful!

    In other news
We used the Tembo Tusk Skottle for the first time tonight. I can't wait to use it on the road! It's a blast to cook on.

Dude it's awesome!! They are so versatile and solid, and I love how low profile it us. I should be getting a Prinsu for my shell tomorrow. Zach is a cool guy and he runs a solid company!
