Here ya go. You can see the difference in color. The sunlight pics bring the true color out more. Maybe someone here can photoshop my pics into your truck. Hope this helps. Ohh and these are the 17". If you need anyother pics just let me know

I am very happy with the SCS wheels I purchased. Got the gunmetal SR8's, for me they put the 'B' in Bitchin' .

I matched them up with BFG AT KO2s, which I was on the fence about at first. But after driving on them, I give the new BFG's great praise!

Can't really go wrong with SCS wheels on a Tacoma in my opinion.

Okay.... I'm MAY get some flack over this,:crapstorm: but as is kind of typical of many of the female species, I've changed my mind on the wheels... ;)
I'll just look away for a moment while all the men go :annoyed:!! LOL!!

So, I'm going to stick with the FUEL BEAST and just going with that 17" wheel, since that's the smallest one they make in that wheel. I just find that I keep going back to them and comparing them to everything else that I like... So, FUEL BEAST it is.... Settled... (finally)...

PAUSE for a QUESTION please: Why do we call them wheels and no longer refer to them as just rims? I always thought that wheels were the whole picture, after you have the rim and the tire put together...???

Now I'm trying to decide on which tires... This truck will mainly be a daily driver, a hauler of a flatbed trailer carrying an ATV (will use a drop hitch), a weekend camp spot finder and hopefully a weekend road tripper... VERY doubtful that I'll see any major mud deeper than 6"-8" in a back road after a rain. I'll definitely see some unpaved roads w/large rocks however...
That said, my biggest concern is having good traction when driving in the rain or on wet paved surfaces. I'll see snow/ice for about a week or two at most all winter here. Obviously I want a wheel/tire setup to look sharp on this truck.... Below are the tires that I've found to check out thus far, but I'm learning that not all tires will fit on all rims (oops, wheels) and I still have zero clue what size I should look at. The guy at the tire store nearest me (14 miles away) seems to want to sell me on only what he has in stock. (that's concerning)....

So, what do you think about these?? (below)... Will they fit the Fuel Beast wheel and this truck with a 2.5" lift?

    Goodyear Wrangler MTR w/Kevlar
    Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac

I just checked the width and the smallest they offer is a 9" and offsets of -12,1, and 20.

I was going to go with the 17x9 with -12 offset but it was the 17" I didn't want. Really wish they had a 16". I'm partial to the smaller rims with more tire when it comes to trucks. Not a real big fan of the bigger wheels unless its one of the sports cars I used to have.

ohh and as for tires, I'm not really sure what would be good for you. Size wise, I would go with a 285/75 or greater. If you went smaller with a 17x9" rim it would probably look kinda funny

I've already purchased 265/75 GY duratracs for my Ray10's that I will be ordering in October for my 1st gen.

Heres the specs on the Fuel Beasts.

    http://www.fueloffroad.com/beast-d564-w-19186.htm

The weight is also something to consider, 36lbs each plus the weight of the tire is going to slow your truck down some. If gas mileage is a concern to you, this will make it a little worse.

For a daily driver, I would choose a All-terrain tire. It will last longer and be more comfortable driving on road. A good all-terrain will still perform great off-road, while providing a smoother ride on the highway. Did I mention, they last longer (tires are expensive) lol.

Also, I may catch some flak for saying this, but you did ask for an opinion.... I would stay away from the Coopers. I know there are many here that like them, but we have always considered them to be a cheap inferior (pepboys tire) option. Go with a tire company that has some rank to their name. There is a reason you see a lot more BFGs in desert/offroad racing than you do the coopers... Just my 2¢ =)
