I work for a commercial painter. Due to weather, a lot of jobs got delayed a month or 2. Got some big jobs finishing with good workers that we need to keep around for those delayed jobs. So, instead of them them not getting paid for a month, of more, and taking off, they're getting paid to paint our houses. And/ or stain fences.

 

That's a cool fuckin company you work for! Guys get to keep working and you get free shit! How do they decide who's house gets painted?

I think it's basically whoever wants it. Wife and I were told a year ago we'd get the house painted, but it never happened. Then we were planning on getting our new fence stained, but her surgery and my kidney stone kinda wiped us out. So we're kinda at the top of the list. They start Tuesday.

It's a coastal thang... Usually subtropical... palm trees and colorful paint.

 

Mine is "Light shell pink" withe moss green front door.... And white trim.
