I was wondering if I would be able to paint these wheels on my Taco. Also would black look good on this style or should I swap them out for others?

    Thanks.

Don't know if you can paint... I bet you can, but I'll defer to those w/ more experience on here. IMO, just about any wheel looks good black, so I say go for it.

Edit: Funny, when I saw your picture I thought that looks like Pasadena, went back and looked it it was!!

I ad the wheels in the pic from the factory. They are chrome finish, which does not hold up well to painting. Search google for "painting chrome" and you will find that most don't recommend it without sandblasting first.

^^^ that's what I was thinking. But What do ya'll think about painting the steel rims...I really don't care for they way they look ("unpainted") but I think they look good black. I just don't want a "gay" looking truck.

They are a option that Gulf States Toyota puts on some trucks at their port of entry. Only available around the Gulf Coast area.

I did mine about a month ago and they came out great. You need to first wash them really well with dish soap and hot water. Then let them dry and sand them enough to rough them up. Wipe them down with some acetone and your ready for paint. I used krylon gloss black but any wheel paint will also work. (DO NOT SKIMP ON THE PAINT). Put on a lot of light coats until you are satisfied with the result. (I did probably 8-9 light coats. One thing I wish I did was a primer but they seem to be holding up. (I already made a trip to the mountains with snow and salt with them).

:p your wrong...LOL Ya I don't like them. But I was looking at some procomp wheels, With fake beadlocks for $86. It sucks with my tires and wheels it adds up to $1200. I tried to find some off road wheels on craigslist dallas and Houston and had no luck.
